THE CAR WAS ALREADY SOLD AFTER A 4 HR DRIVE BUT THERES MORE. We were on the way to look at tahoe in another location when Dan talked me into driving 4hrs to check out the tahoe at Select Cars instead. We asked questions about the vehicle, but he was too busy to go look at the vehicle to give us answers. He told us the vehicle was in great condition with minimal rust. So thinking we could trust this gentlemen, who said we wouldnt be dissapointed, we headed to Select Cars. On the way we blew a tire, so we were very interested in purchasing a new vehicle. When we arrived he couldnt find the keys so he told us to look at another vehicle while we waited. Once he found the keys we got into the vehicle and the check engine light was on, tire pressure sensor was bad, bad tires with one that leaked, blower fan did not work, door handle was broke, smelled of antifreeze, burnt oil on the dipstick, and multiple areas of rust (way more than he mentioned on the phone). After we returned from the test drive to discuss our findings with Dan, he was on the phone so another salesman waited on us. Come to find out the VEHICLE WAS ALREADY SOLD!!!! or so half of the people there told us and then other half said that it was not. Apparently they were waiting on credit approval for the buyer since that morning while we were standing there cash in hand. This entire time we waited to get the accurate story Dan could not get off his phone to help with his losing sale. As our frustration grew, the gentlemen helping us tried to sell us a vehicle that was $8,000 more than we were looking to spend. Then while we continued to wait for Dan to explain the situation, the other gentlemen recommend we go get our tire fixed... so we left with no intention of returning. One of the first things they mentioned when we walked in was that it was a family business and yada yada yada so we had high hopes...we feel pretty disrespected by this operation. Typical car dealership. The family values were not there. They did nothing to make it right other than try to sell us a more expensive vehicle.

I worked with this dealership in the past because I knew one of the managers. He had since moved on when I found a car that I wanted. I picked the car, got financing, and drove the two hours from Toledo to Cleveland to pick it up in what I hoped to be a fairly straightforward process. Upon arrival the car was outside already running which concerns me, obviously they may have just wanted the interior to be heated up but I always want to cold start a car to make sure there arent any problems. Next I was told the TPMS sensor wasnt working which isnt a big deal and not a deal breaker. I test drove the car and all was well. When I came back, sat down at the salesmans desk where I was told that all of a sudden I needed to put $500 down that I had not been told about prior. After I told them I didnt have the money to give they were eager to say that I could pay it later until I affirmed I didnt have the money to put down to which they then waived the amount. While the manager was going on helping other people I wandered around the showroom and noticed that some cars had two keys which lead me to ask if the car I wanted had two keys and they found it didnt, there was only one. This was almost the dealbreaker since I always want to have a spare set. After an hour of waiting I get in with the manager. I ask him to discount the car because of the TPMS sensors and the missing key. I also mention how the driver tailight is cracked and they did offer to fix that but would not budge on price or replace the second key. I told them I was not willing to pay essentially list price for the car with these issues and I ended up leaving empty handed down a tank of gas in my truck, $13 in tolls and a day of work wasted.

Dont waste your time ! They are scam artists!! The car I purchased there was find til the drive home; the check engine light turns on. So the next day we go up there and they said I have to "wait for my warranty to kick in "( shouldnt it be active a soon as I purchase it ?) anyways then we go back up there and now they say I have to drive a certain amount of miles?!? Im not going to drive my car with the check engine light on so eventually time went by and my car was in the shop and I return to get it after it was so called fixed . The car was having a weird sound in the hood so we questioned it. The service man said nothing was wrong with the car; thats how the car sounds he guarantees everything is fixed. Not even a day later the light turns on again so they must of just reset it and my car starts to misfire . Then my car starts overheating . Just problems after problems . Ive been calling trying to get ahold of them for 2 months now and they dont answer the phone , now it just so happens that the phone is disconnected. They will do all in their power to help you buy the car, once it is sold they are the most unprofessional ,disrespectful company .I dont even want them to fix my car now because I feel like another problem will pop up when I get the car back . Stay away ! They are no good

Bought a vehicle from them and, while driving home, the navigation/radio went out. Then a couple of days later the air conditioner goes out. Then a few days after that the fuel pump goes out along with the u-joints (which they said they replaced the day before we picked it up but didnt actually do). All of this within 15 days and 500 miles of purchasing it. And what do they do to fix all of this? Not a damn thing except send me a used radio for the wrong vehicle and tell me too bad about the other stuff. And to top it all off, the "warranty" they sell doesnt do any good (its not actually a warranty - but they tell you it is). Now they dont even return my calls. Stay away from this place. They will let you down in as many ways as possible to make a dollar off of you (like low-balling you on a trade in - thats right, they gave me $2k less than what other dealers had offered). Update: After 2,000 miles the transmission went out in the vehicle. Didnt even bother calling Select Cars. This has been one huge nightmare. Select Cars of Cleveland is a bad business.

I cannot express enough thanks for what these guys have done for me. I had to pleasure of working with Dan C. and Jim(Finance). They made this buying experience smoother than Ive ever had. 1st lets talk about the showroom. AWESOME concept. I have never been to an indoor showroom like this before and its a great idea because you can see up close to what it is your looking at to buy plus if the weather is bad, etc you can still shop. 2nd, They stayed in contact throughout with me through the process even though it was a quick process, they were only a phone call away willing to speak to me. 3rd, in addition to their customer service skills, they really made sure I was delivered a detailed, quality vehicle that THEY would be proud of driving in. Like I said, Ive never experienced this at ANY dealership and I will be looking at them again in the near future for another vehicle first before anywhere else. Dont believe me, Try it yourself!
