I would say that Jo-Ann have a HORRIBLE communication and following up problems. I have to call them 2 different times about signing up for the Wiltons Cake Decorating Classes, for the first called the lady could barely provide me any information, so she took my name and down and told me they will call me back soon once she get more information. 3 days has passed no called from Jo-Ann, called them back and this time I talked to a different lady and she knew more information about the classes, however, had to repeat myself again, (what happened to the information the first lady took down?). This lady also took down in name and number and told me someone will be calling me shortly later on, again no call yet. Please do something about improving the communication skills in the Woodbury location. Thanks!

AWESOME PLACE ALWAYS NICE AND WILLING TO HELP & GO OUT THEIR WAY! I had to repost an update ... i would give this store a 0 if I could! I went back there to return (I admit) 15 craft items my sister bought for my daughters bday party .. she was unsure so she figured if we didnt use or open anything we can just return it the next day ... Thats what I did .. & its got snapped on & given an attitude to & made like I was the worse human being on earth to want to return unused unopened items. I was even more discussed that all this negativity was coming from a manager ... management is suppose to show leadership to other employees on how things should be done ... UGH! I needed help finding some paint for a project my kids were working on but we just left ... HATE FEELING MISTREATED!

I was getting some fabric cut and there was a little left on the bolt. The woman cutting it. She unrolls it. And said I dont know whats going on with the end do you want it? I said no, she gave me a dirty look. Why would I want to pay for fabric that has something wrong with it? Then Im looking at the thread and this other woman yells from the cutting table do you need help? I said no Im fine, I dont need help. Then yells over at me saying thats embroidery thread. You cant use it in your machine. How does she know what kind of machine I have? And what Im doing with the thread. I just left! I agree with some of the other reviews on here. The staff they have are awful! I would give this store a zero if I could!

People who work here are RUDE. They measured my frame work WRONG and tried to turn it around and BLAME ME, even though I had nothing to do with them measuring it. They didnt even apologize or show any emotion that they cared. It took 4 extra weeks to get my frame which was a problem since it was a gift. I have come across other rude employers at JoAnns at Woodbury. They just dont seem to care about their customers like their competition (Michaels, Hancock Fabrics)..which are BOTH cheaper and have better deals than JoAnns.

It took awhile to get to this review box which is just as frustrating as the long lines. Usually I walk in the door and turn right around going back out once I see the very long lines. What is going on? Is it management or that JAs cant hire enough people? I stopped in one day to ask a question about a serger. I barely got my words out and the woman in that department gave a very short answer. Very rude. I hope things improve for this store or I will need to turn elsewhere.

For the most part I really like this Jo-Ann Fabric store. They have a pretty large selection of merch. and I almost always buy something when I go there. I like that you can get additional coupons by mail and you can use a 40% off coupon for each regular priced item you buy-unlike at Michaels where you can only use one 40% off coupon a day. The only thing I dont like is that it has a much smaller clearance section compared to other Jo-Anns in the Twin Cities.

There are never enough staff to wait on you. Sometimes have to wait 40 minutes to get fabric cut. When there are big sales on there should be more staff available. Only one or two clerks to check you out. VERY frustrating! Up until several years ago the service was much better. Have talked to a lot of people who will no longer go to Jo-Anns. The top brass of the company better pay attention or they will lose all of their customers. Its all about greed.

The knitting classes that I took at Joanne Fabrics had the worst instructor I have ever encountered. She was rude and impatient and managed to insult most of the class participants. She would not answer questions and acted very put out. Joann Fabrics should be able to afford better people. I understand that this person also teaches children. She said that she now does not permit parents to sit in on the classes and it is obvious why.

True they tend to consistently be understaffed at the registers, this is why I give it 4, not 5 stars. However, the store is always clean and well organized. They have a huge selection and variety of almost anything Im looking for and do all sorts of crafts from needle point to woodworking. Also, the seasonal decor offered is almost always on sale, cute and of good quality.

I usually dont review big box stores but I had such a great experience here that I had to. I had help from a personal shopper Patricia and she helped me find everything on my list, cut my ribbon, and checked me out. She had helpful ideas for my project and was friendly and very nice. Next time you go, ask for a personal shopper and hopefully youll get Patricia.

Had to pick up some envelopes for the wife, got stuck waiting in the checkout line for 20 minutes just to buy two packs of envelopes. At any given time they could have opened another register to get the customers out the door. Real slow on the checkout.

The cutting counter takes so long you might as well drive across to Roseville. It would take just as much time, or faster. Terrible. Get ready to stand for 25-45 minutes before you get fabric cut.

Clean store, well lit, organized shelves, and good service. Aside from that, just another Joanns. What more could you want or expect. Seriously, cant say any more. Stop reading already.

This is a great location for crocheters and knitters. It has the widest selection of yarns of any Joanns in the Twin Cities area.

The staff here were very helpful and went out of their way to assist me, even suggesting other stores that offered what I needed.

Never enough staff. Have left twice in last week-long cutting and register lines Unfortunate monopoly.
