I shop here regularly - they have great prices on produce, even in the winter. Items that are on sale are very good deals. They also have a few good deals on meat and other items each week. Its a few little things that bother me about the store. The bakery is perpetually understocked - if theres a bread item thats on sale, its almost guaranteed to be gone. There are also other items in the store - some of the bulk food items, bulk spices, lettuces - that often seem to be gone when I shop there. Also, I was there today, and counted six sample stations set up, and every single one of them was empty. Nothing a little closer attention to the state of the store by management cant fix, and Ill continue to shop there, since the produce really is better than any of the other stores around, but it could be better (go to the Bloomington store once to compare - much nicer).

I would normally give 5 stars, but today really was not a good day in the deli department! The lady was slicing the ham I wanted and blew on it and looked up and looked at me and said that was not ok! I looked at her and said no, you blew on the ham! She said she would fix it, I said forget it, I walked away, why in the world would she do that! I asked for the manager and talked to him about it and he didnt even apologize, he looked stuned! And I gave him the other meat and cheese I had and said I dont want them, such a turn off! He walked away towards the deli department! My daughter and I paid for our stuff and the young girl at the register said, it was the asian lady,? I Said yes, oh she is always confused! Ok, what the heck is that supposed to mean! No excuses you dont blow on food, how sanitary is that!

For a place thats supposed to be so "great" Valley Natural Foods destroys you on food quality. And employee quality. Not sure if employees are underpaid or if management is just horrible. Typically management is horrible from what Ive heard from friends and family that shop there. Being a manager of a store myself, I dont see how some or all of your management still work for you. Hopefully this changes. Otherwise just like every other "try to be great grocery stores," theyll just close. Which definitely wont hurt my feelings. Hopefully people start writing real reviews on how they feel, instead of lying to make you look good. If youd like to reply, you can find my at Valley Natural Foods or pretty much anywhere but here. Thank you, and I hope you guys make some serious changes to your staff!

Im confused by the reviews saying that the staff is sub-par. Ive been shopping at this store since it opened, and have never had a bad experience. Im usually there twice a week and commonly ask staff to check the back for items (reviews talking about on sale items being sold out is the reason I only gave four stars) and the staff has always been more than willing and super helpful. More often than not, they disappear into the back and come back with the item I asked for! When there have been errors on my receipt (which happens anywhere) they have always gone above and beyond to correct the mistake and even entertain my kiddos in the process! I love this store. Ignore the crabby reviews - go, check it out, enjoy the experience!

Good sale prices and a nice selection of produce but I do have one very specific issue with the staff. I used to come here frequently to get my Mason jar filled with peanut butter. However, in the past six months, the staff always seems incredibly confused and will occasionally tell me that they dont offer that service. Ive been doing this since they opened in June. Is this some bulk department secret that nobody knows about? I honestly think that there is only one person trained on how to make peanut butter in the entire store, and half the time when I go shes not there. Ive just gone back to making my own, but its really a shame because their honey peanut butter is out of this world.

Fresh produce very "fresh" and well displayed, good prices on a number of items. Service at meat/fresh fish counter somewhat inattentive on two recent visits--several butchers behind the counter but engrossed in conversations with each other. Have also been disappointed in the bakery section. On my first visit found some very good muffins called top of the morning. Excellent. But have made about a half dozen visits since the first one even at various times of the day but they have not had these muffins again. Lots of banana nut variety, but no top of the morning --please bring them back!!

The Twin Cities grocery scene is so competitive! Every time you turn around there is a new option. While Fresh Thyme is not our primary grocery stop, both times Ive visited the quality and diversity of what they offer is remarkable. We were making some Mediterranean food and found the hard-to-find items here. Since that time we came back looking for seafood and were very satisfied. Now it has become the place to look for great produce. So far each trip has been great. We will go back.

I really enjoy going to this Fresh Thyme. The staff is always friendly and the store is very clean. My girlfriend and I have some favorite items there; fresh sausage links and squash ravioli. Some things are more expensive than at bigger stores like Target, but some items are actually sometimes cheaper, like mushrooms and eggs. The shopping experience feels more cosy than say getting groceries at Cub. They have an app for smartphones, I have not used it yet though.

I live within walking distance of this store but still always find myself driving to Valley Natural Foods instead. I do that mostly because the check-out process here is annoyingly slow and takes the fun out of the shopping experience here. The produce department is very cramped in its design and makes that whole area a jungle to shop in on weekends. The staff are just average when compared to Valley Natural Foods.

I was excited for their opening but was disappointed in their selection of organic and non gmo foods. Especially deli foods and meats, they have no organic baked goods or prepared foods. I will continue to shop at Valley Natural Foods. I would rather pay more and support a grocery store that I can trust and that only sells natural healthy products.

Great overall selection. We buy our fruits and veggies there (if not from local farmers markets) because of their freshness and their bring it back policy. The place is always clean, and vibrant. The employees are a hit or miss, there are super helpful ones but then there are a few that have no idea about anything in the store. Affordable prices.

An awful lot of hype for a merely alright store. They do carry several items which cannot be found at many other places and they do generally have pretty decent prices on their goods, however there are quite a few bad apples in their bunch, as Ive seen many yucky fruits and vegetables here. Overall, though, this is a pretty good store.

Today was my second time at the Apple Valley store. I am impressed by the fresh, natural items, and prices. The normal items that I shop for in Red Wing, Mn, are not even close to them. I can find a large selection of gluten free items also. For what I spent today, the cost would of been double, not including a milage cost.
