This Ross store at Dobbin doesnt even deserve a 1 star. This has got to be the worsed department store I have ever gone to. I was at Dobbin store after lunch today. 1 ONE cashier 1 ONE long line. By 1pm a woman showed up acting like she maybe the manager. Told everybody that we are not in the right lane. And told customer to remove all the hangers off the clothes and go to the front and hang them in the rack. First there was no clear sign whatsoever for customer to go. Cashier or anybody that work there said anything. They told customer purchase to move. Then there was chaos. This store have NO SYSTEM at all. Manager doesnt care. Customer service was terrible! Blaming the customers in line for the delay. When there was ONE CASHIER. Expect us to remove the hangers and hang then in the rack for them. I thought Wal-Mart is bad. Ross Dobbin you just ranked no.1 is the worse place to shop. 5th ave have more system and more organized and cleaner than your store. Everything is in disarray at Ross. NEVER EVER AGAIN GOING BACK TO THIS STORE!!!! Customers who plan to shop at Ross Dobbin youve been warned.

Everytime I went to that store, I had horrible experiences with the employees work there. They dont provide a good service to the customers and behave like they are the boss. I did not expect from anybody to help me carrying the sofa I bought but at least somebody could open the doors for me and when I asked for helped the answer I got was " that is not my job ". So if a store sells a huge item, they need to provide a way to get out from the store. Average or low quality brandnames are being sold with cheap prices and low level services provided by the staff. I wont go there again.

There were only two cashiers waiting on a long line of people with many many items in their carts. A third cashier was doing returns only. We waited in line at least 25 minutes, probably longer. I will not shop at Ross again. It appears good customer service is no longer important to businesses. In this day when major businesses are closing left and right, one would assume that other businesses would do their best to retain their customer base by getting back to the basic premise of good customer service.

Just returned from the Columbia store, picked out some nice items and line was 10-15 people, and only ONE cashier!!!! I then realized it would take an hour or more and decided to just walk out! If these box stores do not provide service, they deserve to fail. I often order items not urgent through Amazon. There is another similar store nearby, and they always have several cashiers , need to visit them later today! Keep up the good work, pay less on hourly wages, lose more customers-.......

This store reminds me of goodwill because people just dig through everything. It is messy and disorganized. The bathroom was the most disgusting bathroom I have ever been in. Flies. No soap or paper towels. It reminded me of a portapotty. Will never shop here again. I bought a few things but one was missing tags. I looked at a curtain in an opened package...it was a different color and size than package. Other curtains open and laying around. This store is a hot mess.

Came in to get a good deal, but left feeling disgusted and dirty. Aside from the poor selection of clothes the lady working the fitting room was complaining shes been working two hours past her scheduled leave time. Then another lady comes in to finish up remaining customers and shuts down the fitting room until she calls district. Finally, we checkout and cashier complains that her mat is falling apart and hopes she doesnt fall. Columbia is turning into a dump.

Usually this place is nasty and unorganized. Saw managers and they were walking around pointing out deficiencies so this time around it wasnt bad. But still racks are unorganized and half the items dont have price tags. Ask the employee what the price is and they act like its your fault its not on there. But nonetheless you cant complain too much for a store that is merely just above a consignment store.

The worse Customer Service ever. Every time I had to return items to this store which is not that often, I get the same Sales Associate at Customer Service with the worse attitude. She acts as though the money she is refunding is coming out of her wallet. I agree, the store is a hot mess, nothing is organized, clothes, shoes all over the place. This was my last trip here at this location.

I do not know what these other reviewers experienced at Ross but this is by far, hands down the best ross i have ever been to. My local Ross is in Montgomery county they are always disorganized and dirty with stuff on the ground. But this Ross is Columbia however had everything neatly organized and categorized. I will go out of my way to go to this ross in the future.

This Ross sucks. Kimberly (the supervisor) is extremely rude and treats her customers like nothing. Excuse me but if they didnt have customers this place would be out of business. Ive been to many different Ross and I have never had such a horrible experience especially with a supervisor. There was a long line and she didnt care to open another register.

Filthy...no organization. None of the isles are sized correctly theres long dresses constantly mixed with short dresses there was a long line wrapped around yet one cashier available customers went to the back of the store to ask for a manager to come forward a lot of people employee standing around chit chatty when theres many people standing in line

Like the that they have a lot of cute stuff in my size for a good price. Didnt necessarily find what I needed at the time, which is why its not five stars but I will definitely go back for casual stuff, which is what I mostly wear anyway...

This is the worst Ross on the entire East Coast. They make you form one line which is always so backed up it extends pass the dress section. I have never seen more than two cashiers working. The place is never stocked and is always a mess.

Tried to return a soap dispenser with the receipt that had been purchased a week ago. The soap did not pump properly. Cashier said i could not return it because it had been used. Brusque and rude. Never returning to this store.

The lines are painfully long and slow. The floor is covered in items thrown off the shelves by more than just adults. As with other Ross, they have good deals, but the place ill-managed and messy.

Lines are ALWAYS long this store is severely under staffed and messy. For such an upscale area like Columbia you wouldnt think this dump would be here. This kind of Ross belongs in the hood.

You can find good buys.....but its usually messy in the store and the check out line is usually long as they normally have only 2 cashiers..... Even during the holiday season!
