This is currently the nicest place to hang out with a cigar and alcoholic beverage in San Diego that I know of. Their selection of cigars isnt huge, but it is well selected. They have your high end brands like Padron ($20+), and your well priced brands as well like La Gloria Cubana and Oliva (10+). Prices are elevated, but not absurd. The humidor keeps the cigars in good shape. They also have private humidor boxes available for your stash. The place stands out for its patrons. There are always 10 or 20 people there, many of them regulars. The customers are nice and talkative. They like to talk cigars and whatever else is on their minds or yours. The covered patio area is fantastic and provides great natural ventilation. The wicker furniture is acceptable and not uncomfortable. There are a coupe TVs that may have a game on, you can suggest what you would like to be on (a game or a particular show) and you will probably get your wish. The volume is moderate, and doesnt overwhelm the atmosphere as in a sports bar. There isnt an alternative to the patio other than a tiny bar where transactions take place. Sometimes I like a nice lounge with leather couches and the like as well, so Churchill Cigar Lounge doesnt fit every occasion. Also, their cigar selection is overwhelmed by a few brands, and I think they could diversify I little. For these reasons it is not The Greatest Cigar Bar Of All Time. Im still looking for that. But it is a damn good little joint, and I am greatly pleased to have it.

I dont write reviews too often but I feel this place deserves one. I am somewhat new to the cigar scene and have truly enjoyed my two week stay a block away from this cigar lounge. Well kept and clean patio with a beautiful hdtv that always has espn on. Now the service. I have been here four times in my 11 day stay and must say that my last night here was above and beyond my previous. I met Steve while I entered and he immediately had me setup with a range of beautiful cigars. I order a beer and went to the patio to enjoy one and he remained at-tentative with not just me but all the customers. I thought he was the owner because of his care and demeanor of the place and when I asked him if he was the owner he responded with, "no." I was shocked. Its a great place to hang out if you are by yourself or with a date. Customer friendly, relaxing and tentative.

A cigar aficionado dream zone is a place fullvof good cigars, good people, good food (sandwich place next food) and a place to feel like that place away from tge wife. Well you get this all at this and then some. The owners are chill but its the guy that works there (mustache guy *forgot his name*) that really knows his stuff and is a true cigar aficionado. The prices arent that bad either. I wont buy a box from there but singles, deals or the 5 cigars buy is worth it. Btw I loved the interior design is very nice and had that relaxed feel about it

I have to give a shout out to the good people at Churchill. We wandered in after a late dinner on a Monday night and were greeted warmly. They were helpful in selecting cigars we would like and really knew their stock. They also have a surprisingly large selection of craft beers on tap, or wine if you prefer. A cozy little place to sit and relax. The prices may be a few bucks more (because of the location), but they really make up for it with friendly service.

Visiting in San Diego and needed some pipe tobacco. They dont carry any but what they have is an excellent selection of cigars. There are several brews on tap and they carry an extensive selection of wine/port. The staff are really helpful and engaging. The open air patio is nicely arranged with two televisions for your viewing and the entire shop and its patrons have a very engaging air. I would definitely stop in here again even if it was only for the stout.

Where I’m from they don’t allow smoking indoors or out. Here I was able to smoke a great cigar with a glass of great wine on their outdoor heated patio. The staff was very casual and friendly. It’s not the Ritz but what a great place to enjoy the vices of life. And I will definitely be back. Next time, I’m bringing my buddies. You simply can’t go wrong here. Pros: great cigars wine & beer. Cons: small place, no food, short hours, but who cares:)

Went there for the 1st time with a few friends to hang out having heard that their selection of beer was very extensive. Needless to say I was not disappointed, was able to enjoy some really fine and rare beers as well as watch the game on the big screen in the patio. The staff there was very friendly and polite, and the owner was very kind to buy us a drink to make sure we were having a good time.

There are few places I would rather hangout after work, (or during work) than Churchill Cigar Lounge. The regular croud is a mixed intelligent group of business professionals that gather to enjoy some of the best cigars in the world. The selection of cigars is second to none, and the service is fantastic. Ill be there tonight if you want to come down and have a great cigar.

Went into the place cause of the reviews and right they were! I would highly suggest stopping in for a great cigar and a beverage of your choice. Great selection and very friendly, but then again most cigar folks are. This is a must stop~ planning on a few more times before I leave.

Hands down one of the best places for a great brew and a cigar. Steve greeted with a handshake and Ive never felt more comfortable at any cigar shop. Awesome selection, not cheap. But being treated like a regular made it worth an extra buck a stick. Be back next month!

Always enjoy my time at Churchills. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Selection of cigars is vast, and the staff is always quick to make recommendations. Drinks are reasonably priced given that it is in a tourist trap area.

as a new cigar smoker I like this place because the staff is really knowledgable and takes time to really explain different cigars to you. There is a seating area and you can actually smoke there and enjoy some wine as well.
