I actually wanted to write a review of the Salvation Army community center at 7745 Ridge Road, Port Richey FL. Back in the fall I signed up my son and his 2 friends to play basketball for the Salvation Army. I had to pay $50 for each child to be able to join a team. All 3 boys were placed on a team with 5 or 6 other players who routinely played for the Salvation Army. From the beginning we started having problems. The coach they were given never told us about any practices, never invited the boys to practice, or cancelled the practices at the last minute. Amazingly, the team they were on made it to the playoffs but the coach didnt let my son or his friends play in the last 2 games of the playoffs, they just had to sit on the bench and watch. Even after all that the boys wanted to play again in the spring, so I signed them up again. This time they were not even notified of when the games were. They still had the same coach who told me he wasnt coaching them and that they couldnt come to the practices. They were not allowed to play during the games, or they were not told if the games were cancelled or if the times were changed they were not notified. This coach made it very clear that my son and his 2 friends were not part of his team and that he didnt want them around. When I asked for my money back I was ignored. How could they treat these kids like this?? These are good kids, straight A students. They dont need to be rejected like this. How can this coach or this organization call themselves Christian and then treat children this way. Keep your kids away from this place because unless they are part of the popular crowd they will not be welcomed.

Epic place to shop! Super kind staff, and best sales! I love the toys aisle, the perfect place to find authentic 90s beanie babies! Another awesome aspect is that the sell old DVDS and video games. Sometimes the DVDS are scratched, but their so cheap, who cares!!! They have clothes for everyone, adults, kids, teen, plus size, everything. They have almost every non-consumable item you can find there! This is a definite must-go!!!

I love it! I go there all the time and the people are super friendly! The prices are pretty fair, although sometimes there might be a few things priced expensively, but other than that its one of the best thrift stores Ive ever been to! Its a very friendly environment and the store is very clean and well-kept! The employees are very hard-working and dedicated to the store. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!

This is another store that puts out junk after theyve bought all the good stuff that comes in for themselves. I heard two ladies in the back exclaim Its just like Christmas, Im spending all my money today!" As they cherry pick all the good stuff for themselves and put out the junk. Almost as bad as the Spring Hill store.

Unfortunately, this store leaves a lot to be desired. The merchandise is lacking and the prices can be a bit higher than youd expect at a thrift store. Compared to the Salvation Army thrift stores in Northern Virginia, this location doesnt even come close to being what I was expecting.

Always good customer service. People are friendly and I always walk out of there with something that was reasonably priced. Mondays are Senior Citizen day, so many things are 1/2 off, including clothes and Wednesdays, clothes are 1/2 off and its Customer Appreciation Day!

The staff at this Salvation Army are very friendly and kind. The layout of the store is simple to navigate and the selection of donated items is quite nice! I love their half off deals on Wednesdays. I always get a great deal here.

The prices here are absolutely dumb. They know nothing of any brand value or quality and see something they heard of once maybe being worth money and slap $30 on a pair of old worn out shoes. The selection is garbage as well.

I went in to find t shirts. They have organized all their clothing by style and color. After spending 10 minutes in front of a rack trying to simply find a shirt in my size, I gave up and left. Pretty annoying!

Frustrating, you spend so much time searching for a treasure then the cashier wont honor a printed coupon from THEIR website. Power trip much? All the other Salvation Army stores honor their coupon.
