Sav- A - Lot...... I Like - A - Lot, Greetings from Beautiful Estero, Florida. I must say I was a little skeptical about shopping at Sav - A - Lot in the beginning. I did not know much about them and they were opening this tiny little store just blocks away from a brand new behemoth monstrosity Walmart. Both stores opened up roughly around the same time. I am a sucker for an under dog, David vs Goliath story. I always tend to champion the underdog. However when it comes around to food I have to be careful. Now onto the review. I kinda like being a one stop shopper but I just cant do that with Sav-A - Lot. since they dont have a deli counter or a bakery which in those two instances nobody can compare to Publix. Even if they, S-A-L featured a bakery and a deli I would still be making my normal special stops at Publix. In the meantime I still rely on S-A-L for the very good produce they offer. Best tomatoes and Best apples and the lowest prices. The canned goods are very high quality and very inexpensive. Some as low as 68 cents a can. What is this 1979??? I love it. I go in there and I buy a case load, a few for me and the rest for charity. I look like a Philanthropist! Its wonderful. Watch out Walmart ( by far the worst meat selection always day old) Win Dixie and Pubzzzz. The S-A-L butcher is incredible. Great selection always fresh and nobody has lower prices. The meat selection and the canned goods guarantees S-A-L a special stop there from me every week. They also have a very wonderfully friendly staff. Very upbeat and happy. Especially Danielle. Always very nice to my wife and I. Having a cookout? Sav-A- Lot has A-Lot for Not- A- Lot $... Highly recommend...
