So I came here because my transmission failed on my 2013 Altima and they were charging me $5,100 for the repair. I immediately started searching for other options even though the service rep swore up and down that he tried to do EVERYTHING he could to help me out even though I barely passed the warranty on the transmission. First thing a transmission shop in Visalia told me was to contact selma or fresno Nissan, because the Nissan service reps in Visalia are "A-holes" and dont really care about customer satiafaction. First thing fresno Lithia Nissan told me was I barely passed the warranty and to contact consumer affairs, and if they declined to help me, to take it over to fresno to get the same service for $3,100. It only took a few days for Nissan consumer affairs to give me a call back and they agreed to pay over 80% of the charges. Litha even told me that Gropetti didnt bother helping me because they get paid less when they do a job under warranty. My flywheel also "somehow" got damaged after a few days of taking it out of this shop. The flywheel is exposed when removing the transmission, so I called gropetti since I had a warranty on the labor cause it is possible it could have been damaged while taking off the transmission but they denied to help (again). I would recommend taking the extra drive to selma or fresno. Their prices are cheaper and have way, way better warranties. For example, even though the transmission and labor was $2,000 cheaper at Lithia Nissan Fresno, it still came with a way better warranty at 3 years/ 50,000 Miles while in Visalia you get a 12 month/ 12,000 Miles. Trust me, its worth the drive. Im not the only one who had problems with Gropettis service. My girlfriend and I are going car shopping for her in about 6 months, and I know exactly where were NOT checking out cars.

I WENT TO NISSAN GROPPETTI YESTURDAY WITH MY WIFE I WAS SURPRISED WITH THE UNPROFESSIONALISM. I HAD PURCHASED A 2010 HONDA CIVIC FROM HONDA GROPPETTI GROUP IN DECEMBER OF 2010.THIS TIME I WENT TO PURCHASE A NISSAN 350Z. I FIRST SPOKE TO A SALES REP NAMED "MOE" WHO WAS DOIN A OK JOB UNTILL HE PRESSURED US TO BUY SOMETHING WAY OUT OF OUR PRICE RANGE AND THATS WHEN I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE I TOLD HIM VARIOUS TIMES WE WERE ON A BUDGET AND THAT WAS THAT (16K FOR A USED CAR ) HE SAYS COME INSIDE LET ME SHOW U SOMETHING AS I WALK IN THE SALESMAN MAD DOG ME AND I SENSED THE DISRESPECT. AND SHOWS ME A 2012 370Z A $45,000.NOT WHAT WE WANTED.THEN HE INSIST THAT WE SEARCH OTHER GROPETTI LOTS TO FIND ONE I TOLD HIM OK.NOTHING WAS IN STOCK BESIDES THE 3 Z"S THEY HAD THERE SO THIS OTHER GUY HELPS HIM BECAUSE "MOE" DOESNT KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A COMPUTER.WHAT!!!! AT THIS POINT I WAS OVERWHELMED WITH THE TIME I WAS WASTING THERE AS I WAS LEAVING ANOTHER GUY IN GLASSES APPROACHES ME AND TRIES TO SMART TALK ME ABOUT MY FINANCES WHEN HE OBVIOUSLY DOESNT KNOW I HAVE GREAT CREDIT AND HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED A CAR FROM THEM AT HONDA. HE INSIST I BUY THE CAR AND GET MY DESIRED PAYMENT BY EXTENDING THE LOAN ON A 370Z BUT I TOLD HIM I DONT WANT TO PAY 50K FOR A CAR OR EXTEND THE PAYMENT BECAUSE THE INTEREST PILES UP.I WALKED OUT OF THERE RIGHT AWAY.THEN THESE PEOPLE FOLLOWED ME TO MY CAR!!! WOW!! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THESE WANABE "GANGSTERS" ARE REPRESENTING DON GROPETTI? I WOULDNT DO BUSINESS WITH GROPETTI ANYMORE AFTER THAT ..SAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY THESE PEOPLE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL 7/18/2012

nissan of visalia where a handshake agreement means absolutely nothing. spent 3 hours and 20 min negotiating a deal. Vincent said whatever was necessary to get me into the door promising me the best deal available. only to get railroaded when it came time to finalize the deal. Vincent obviously does not know the meaning of integrity and honor. He claimed he did not promise half of the things ii was told to get me into the door. Then he wanted to change the "out the door price" as if one wasnt negotiated previously. His clone mario had major attitude problems and I thought at one point he might attack me when I told him the deal was off and headed for the door. Mario threw the paperwork to the ground and i thought he was coming after me. they tried intimidation techniques to get me to go through with the deal. Pressure sales at its worst. PLEASE GO TO FRESNO OR BAKERSFIELD TO GET YOUR NISSAN!!!!!!! I am telling friends and family to avoid nissan of visalia at all costs or at least stay away from Vincent and Mario. I Dont care if I was offered the 30 thousand car for 20 thousand. I would not give them my business because they do not deserve it. they made a joyous experience into a nightmare. PS.... i wouldnt even have given them 1 star but i had to give them at least 1 to post this.

My experience was excellent! I bought a new Nissan Altima in July 2011. My salesman (Manny) was great. He was honest and he knew the car inside and out. In addition to listing the good features of the car, he didnt hold back from telling me the aspects of the car that were lacking. Not a typical uncomfortable, tricky salesman. He advised me when would be a good time to buy and I got a great deal. After test-driving, I was patient and did my homework. So when I came back I knew what I wanted to pay. We didnt spend an hour negotiating. He knew that I was prepared to buy and he knew my price was reasonable. So he checked with the manager and we had a deal within 5 minutes. The only time-consuming process was listening to the sales pitch (by another guy) for all the add-on insurance options. But whether or not you want these add-ons (I didnt), you will get this time-consuming pitch no matter where you go. I am an honest salesman myself and I can spot a dishonest salesman from a mile away. Nothing annoys me more. This purchase wasnt like that. What made my purchase easy and enjoyable was the salesman, Manny. You should ask for him when you go in.

I have used Nissan of Visalia for regular oil changes as well as a 30K major checkup. Today was the final time that I will do business with them. Their service department has many recurring problems. I called the day before to schedule an appointment but was told that they are only first come first serve on the Sat. However, when I came in on Sat the first thing the service rep asked me is if I had made an appointment. Every time I have been there the work has taking much longer than estimated; today they quoted me 45 min for an oil change, over two hours later when I asked why it was taking so long my service rep shrugged his shoulders said the guy is new turned his back and walked away. To his credit he gave me a $3.24 coupon for my time. On another occasion when I asked a service rep about the warranty on my tires he told me The warranty is only good if you dont drive the car. He said that the 5 year/ 50K mile warranty was a shelf life for the tires. No joke. The lack of basic knowledge and customer service is astonishing. I wouldnt go back if it was free.
