Went here a few years ago, when I had some business at the "San Antonio Winery".... "Lanza Bros. Market & Delicatessen" is the real article,serving a large variety of great sandwiches,wines, cold beer and deli specialties...They have chairs and tables out front, so you can watch the cars go by,while eating your sandwich.... or take your order to go....This place has an urban "old school" L.A./NY vibe to the place...with the deli case and all...it seems like its been there for years,and it has... Est.1927....not just your run -of- the- mill variety store,even though they carry everything your typical variety store would carry...not fancy,but down to earth...This is where the locals "do lunch"....I had the chicken salad, the tuna salad, or the roast beef,I cant remember which...All I remember is, it was delicious...When visiting Downtown L.A., stop by Lanza Bros.Market & Deli...Enjoy! FYI: ☆They dont accept credit cards,but F.Y.C., they do have an ATM in the store... ☆They dont sell fresh bulk produce,accept the veggies served in the salads and sandwiches....They serve hot soups, featuring homemade Minestrone soup...They serve a Green Salad, with your choice of meats served on it, or topped with chicken salad or tuna salad.... "cold cuts"(deli meats) and cheeses sold and cut to order, priced by the pound~

This spot is Awsome I've been coming here since I was 15 and the Lanza brothers still owned it this is Los Angeles style, now for all those hard core Italian food snobs you want that over priced food hit a restaurant but you want that little piece of haven come here and eat the chillies too Ive driven from Whittier to Lincoln heights once a week just to eat here lol they know me by name and everything lol :))

all their sandwiches are great, I started going there when the park with the pool was opened on north Broadway. Back in the 70s, carnation milk delivered in botttles to your home. Also, behind Lanza Bros. Sorry to say one or two only living.

Some of the best sandwiches West of Subway u ever had..a real L A. Spot. Any given day youll see L.A.Sheriiffs L.A. fire water and power Metro....the lunch spot for sure!

Tasty sandwiches at an affordable price. Sitting next to Main Street is kinda loud, but if you are into big trucks, you will enjoy the show.
