I attended one of the coffee classes that is offered at the new Stone Creek Coffee Factory location on 5th Street. My wife joined me. The class was taught by Christian Ott, Director of Coffee and Coffee Education. It was outstanding! It completely opened my mind and taste buds to the drink I love - coffee! The class ran for three hours in a lovely setting with all the tools ready and available to help me learn how to make excellent espresso drinks. There were four of us in the class that focused on DOING and EXPERIENCING and TASTING and UNDERSTANDING what makes great coffee, great and great espresso drinks, great. The founder and owner of Stone Creek Coffee (Eric Resch) also stopped in. Eric Resch has created a remarkable "coffee" environment at this 5th Street location. He is taking "coffee" to another level. Moving it from a something we love to drink, to something we love to know and experience. Much like craft beer or fine wine, Eric is inviting us to not just drink great coffee, but truly understand what makes great coffee, great. I could not recommend the new Stone Creek Factory more strongly and suggest any serious coffee drinker to take this wonderful class and visit this exceptional environment for coffee.

Last winter, Stone Creek Coffee used to have a "fast track" trust-based coffee system. It was a samovar of coffee and a little bin you could put the two bucks in. You could park on KK, hazard it up, and dash in and out in under a minute, faster than any drive-thru. You didnt have to stand behind someone asking questions or being indecisive or chatty. You didnt need to talk to anyone, a real boon at the ungodlier hours of the morning. Apparently, some people felt you didnt even need to pay, because they are not doing it now. I do not blame Stone Creek Coffee for this. They have a fine coffee, and worth stealing.

One of the three major coffee chains in Milwaukee (the others being Star Bucks and Colectivo). As with the others, this is a nice place to meet and chat over coffee (and other snacks). The place opens early (5:30 am) and this is very convenient. There is an area just in front of the building set up fr people who want to grab a cup (on their way to work) or are traveling by bus or train - it is (maybe) 100 meters from the entrance to the Intermodal station.

Bloody fantastic. Seriously the best coffee in the States. Coffee how it should be, not from a burnt pot in the corner or sugared to buggery; this is the real deal. If you appreciate coffee then you need to head on down to this fine establishment, and definitely hit the factory coffee shop as it is a stunning building with ambiance. (An Aussie review)

Solid coffee shop, fantastic atmosphere, very clean and orginized. Croissant was pretty good, capucinno was very good but lacked that final kick. I would give it a 4&1/2 stars, just a touch under intelligentsia, square one, or Stump town. Its very smooth and delicious though. They are definitely doing things right at Stone Creek!

It is an awesome place. They offer a card for every ten drinks you get one free, also they have a great coffee testing session for free with teaches you so much, and it is right by the Amtrak station so you can get a coffee and be on your way. Such a good coffee place and a great atmosphere.

. Some of the best coffee I have had in the country. The interior is outfit with a real fireplace, small tables, large tables, and cozy corners. This is the ideal location for a cozy evening, a business meeting, a date, or even a quick cup of joe. Coffee: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

If you are walking by on a roasting day the smell will pull you in. Their Mexican spice mocha forces me to order something besides my normal black coffee. Monkey ball Danish. Great building with the exposed bricks and beams. Hop off the train or take a bubblr bike.

I dont do coffee but the building is beautiful and the environment is great. If youre looking for a place to pass some time I highly recommend stopping here. Also it is open weekends according to the website and my visit earlier today.

The coffee itself tastes like dirt. It is so disgusting, I really dont understand the other reviews here. The atmosphere of the location is fine, but rating on just the coffee alone, it is terrible and a place to avoid.

my barista took the time to answer all my annoying questions about all their different coffee beans, then she proceeded to chemex one awesome cup of coffee for me. I hope i can come back for a facility tour one day.

This is a great cafe in a historic building. I love that they offer accessible coffee training for coffee lovers. Sadly the day I visited, a new trainee was at the bar, and my cortado was a disaster.
