A review on our customer experience at Madison Furniture & ApplianceMart – TL;DR – I would not shop there again. And I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a good customer experience to take your business anywhere other than here. The in store experience was pleasant enough, but the post-purchase support was god awful. Read on for details. Our customer experience with Madison Furniture & ApplianceMart has been extremely subpar. We purchased a new $1500 couch in May, received it in poor condition, and here we are in October still waiting for it to be properly repaired. The Good: -In store purchasing experience was pleasant. The salesperson showed us all the options that met what we were looking for. She didn’t come across as overly pushy or ‘sales-pitchy’. The Bad: -We have been waiting for 6 months (and counting) since our purchase for our ‘new’ couch to be in NEW condition. It came off the delivery truck with numerous blemishes, and the vendor hasn’t been able to execute an effective repair since. Here’s a timeline of Furniture & ApplianceMart’s numerous customer care fumbles up to this point. --We purchased our new couch in mid-May 2015. --By end of May the couch was delivered on time, but had numerous blemishes on the surface requiring repair. --Early June Initial repair man came out to fix the blemishes, but needed to order new parts. --Our order for new parts was lost or misplaced, and we did not hear back from ANYONE until I had to call them in mid-August (almost 3 full months later) asking on status of our repair. --They then got the order correctly processed and a repair man came back out with the new parts in early September, but they ordered the wrong parts. --They scheduled us for another repair this week or next (mid-October) --I receive a call today stating that they ordered the wrong parts AGAIN!! --I’m now going to need to take off work for a FOURTH time when the repair man comes (in their ever-so-convenient 2-3 hour time window in the middle of the work day) just to receive what should have been our exciting and brand new couch. Minor Annoyance: -The sales floor is definitely a sales shark-like environment. We were left alone for a moment after working with our saleswoman. Another salesperson came up and asked what we were looking for. When I politely informed him that we were already being helped by another salesperson, the second salesperson got a clearly disgruntled look on his face, turned around, and bee-lined it out of there without another word. Not a huge problem, but a bit rude!

Working with Camren James was exceptional. He listened to our concerns, included a manager in the conversation when we shared a previous unsatisfactory experience, and assisted us in the purchase of a base system, mattress & bedside table. We had spent an hour or two at a nearby furniture store testing mattresses. The salesperson was less than enthusiastic, and even though I had done some research prior to shopping, we were a bit confused by contradictions, so left to think about our purchase. We fully intended to go home, but decided at the last moment, after some debate, to stop in at Furniture & Appliance Mart. We are very happy that we decided to give Furniture & Appliance Mart a second chance. The fact that Camren listened and went the extra made a time-consuming venture (selecting the right mattress for 2 different people) a pleasant experience. Had he not gone the extra we most likely would NOT have suggest our children also shop there in the following week or two. Camren also assisted them in finding the best mattress for their needs and budget. We each invested in an adjustable base system (thankful for their availability in the Bargain Room) and new mattresses. We have been enjoying ours for a week or so, and our children will have theirs delivered next week to their respective places.

WOW! If you love great furniture and awesome sales assistants This location has both. My wife and I got the privilege to meet Camren and Martha at the Ashley;s Furniture and Appliance Mart located at 2404 W, Beltline Hwy Madison, Wisconsin 53713. The service was excellent and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our furniture and that everything arrive in a timely manner. Camren was the sales person that I met when i went in to the store looking for furniture. He was extremely patient with me and carefully helped me by answering every question I had about the wide selections of furniture they have in the store. He was very knowledgeable about the items which took me by surprise. everything was explained in great detail and it helped me with selecting the furniture we have. A few days later I had questions about other items in the store so i called the store and I talked with Martha. She answered every question we had. Both sales person went out o their way to ensure that my wife and I were set. We are going to redo our bedroom and we will purchase all of our items from this store. I really feel good abotu this store and Camren and Martha. They are "Furniture Specialist." THANKS CAMREN AND MARTHA SINCERELY WILLIAM BOSTICK

Its pretty much your typical high-pressure sales furniture store with prices that are quite a bit higher than some smaller appliance and furniture stores in the area. Nonetheless we purchased an LG washer and dryer on clearance here simply because it was last years model and no one else had it in stock. When you first walk in youll be given plenty of attention. Browsing on ones own here seems to be taboo, which is a shame because they do not post prices on their website. Seriously, you need to email them to get a price on anything, which seems like an awful waste of time and energy in this day of dynamic websites and constant updates. We also purchased an extended service plan but I am getting a refund on it because the salesperson lied to me when she sold it. She said if we did not use the plan wed be refunded half of the purchase price. I asked her if it was a check for half of the amount and she said yes. Come to find out its for store credit only. If you like sheisters and flexible-with-the-truth, high-pressure sales people all up in your face then this is definitely the place for you. If you just want to casually look at things on your own Id suggest going to one of the other major furniture retailers in the immediate area.

My salesperson for my appliance purchase was good and knowledgeable, however, everything after the purchase has been poor. Most of the issues are with their subcontractors.I had to wait much longer than initially told for the appliances to be delivered-[-apparently there was one item back ordered, but I was willing to wait to get what I wanted. The worst part has been dealing with their subcontractor who delivered and installed, Diamond Appliances. Very poor follow up- I keep having to call customer care at Furniture and Appliance Mart who calls Diamond Appliance who calls me and tells me they will follow up with me when the parts come in. Then there is never any follow up and I call Furniture and Appliance mart and it starts again. I really liked my salesperson but everything else has been bad. Ive ordered appliances from Home Depot and Best Buy in the past and had a much better experience. Until Furniture and Appliance Mart can tighten up their delivery, install, and how to deal with customer issues experience, I would not buy there again.
