This hobby shop is the only one Ive been a regular for the last 3 years. Why? Because the owner, John, is outstanding while the store has what you look for in a hobby shop and everyone that works there loves it. They do commissions for people looking 2 sell cards, order what youre looking for, and have a large area upstairs for for your card and hobby groups. This place used 2 have less for the non-card costumers, but theyve been adding shelves for D&D books, Munchkin sets, and have a good selection of comics. For MTG Fans(like myself) dont forget 2 stop by on Fridays/Tuesday nights at 5:00p.m. for standard, drafts, releases, etc. were you can meet fun people and enjoy yourselves all night long.

River City Hobbies is La Crosses go to place for any hobby gamer or collector. Whether you play Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer 40,000 or you read comics and collect base ball cards, they have what you need to start u your hobby or continue your already existing one. The store owner, John, is by far one of the best people in town. With a friendly smile you makes you feel right at home. And will most likely set you on the right path to finding that hard to fined item for what ever your collection may be. Hope to see you there, I will be.

Came in looking for the next game my family can enjoy. Weve already played Catan, Boss Monster, Munchkin and more. They took the time to go through and explain a few games my family would like. Purchased Element and some other games. We love Element so far and Im looking forward to playing the other games I purchased. Thank you for your help in finding us a good way to enjoy family time.

Wonderful store and very friendly staff. Carries all comic series you can dream of, pokemon, movies, board and video games, and countless collectibles. Only thing that could possibly improve the store is more funko products, mainly px previews exclusive ones that are meant for comic shops.

Its an okay place to be. The last time I did a mtg pre order event the guy I was playing against cheated and I called him out on it and when the judge came over he sided with him. Found out later theyre friends and I wasnt the only person whom got screwed like this.

Great store. Always something going on, whether its FNM, Netrunner, Pokemon, or just their weekly board game night. Friendly and helpful staff. Be careful, though: Their staff is so good at recommending games, youll end up spending your money! Hide your wallet!

Way to keep things going... Shop looks great, with a large basement for gaming purposes. Friendly staff all around, had genuine conversation with the owner about my interest in Magic the Gathering while shopping. Left happy will return.
