I called the other day to inquire for some help. I am going into surgery today and needed my three micro dermal tops taken off before surgery. Matt said that hed be at the shop until seven and that hed be happy to help. I arrived and was immediately blown away at Matts collection of body jewelry. He carries high end, beautiful jewelry. Crystal plugs from Germany and even some of my favorite pieces from tawapa. The shop was clean and he made sure to properly sanitize his room after his piercing client before my two minute removal session. He didnt even charge me and for that I thanked him and left him a decent tip. I will be back and would only recommend Matt for any of your piercing needs in La Crosse. Thanks again man!

I just got my daith pierced by matt this past Saturday and I love it! He was so nice and kind! He explained everything and was always making sure that I felt comfortable. He even gave me some of his merchandise, which I have never gotten from any other shops, and gave me a card explaining the cleaning process, the time it heals, and the phone number for the shop in case I have any questions. I highly recommended coming here, cause this is the only place Im going to come for my future piercings!

Proper Pokes is a great place. Since the first time Ive gone here, I havent considered going anywhere else. Matt is very professional and helps with any questions and concerns. He makes sure youre comfortable and talks you through the process as well as the after care. He goes above and beyond just being a piercer who is there to take your money and run. He makes sure you know everything you need to know. I wouldnt go anywhere else after coming here and I would recommend Proper Pokes to anyone!

I had my septum properly poked. He was very professional and everything was sanitary. I liked that he explained what he was going to do throughout the prosses. He let me pick out the how big I wanted my jewelry and I love the placement. Although septem piecing can be tricky, he pierced it in the right spot. Ive have no problems with my piercing and its now fully healed:3... I would definitely recommend proper pokes to anyone. >^-^<

NOT AN HONEST OR WORTHY ESTABLISHMENT. If you like crooked piercings then theyre youre people! Spents $80 on plugs and a septum piercing, and he ignorantly stabbed my nose at the worst crooked angle. Not worth the time, and now I have to wait for it to heal before I can find someone else to do a PROPER POKE through my nose. 5/10 people MAY end up fine, but nobody should like those odds. DO NOT GO TO PROPER POKES!

Matt is fantastic! I went in with my friend who wanted her clavs pierced. I wasnt expecting to get pierced too but the atmosphere was very relaxing and Matt was so knowledgeable about everything we asked that I decided to go for it. He kept me calm and explained to me what was going on and how he was going to do the piercing. Just a great experience all around.

Awesome! Very clean, great atmosphere, very professional. Ive had at least half of my piercings done here without any problems. Any time I have gone in with questions or concerns I was treated fairly, and taken very good care of. I recommend to EVERYONE. Both the best price and quality in town.

Ive been here to pierce my nose and my triples and both times Ive had great, quick, clean experiences. Ive also had Matt help change my triple and my nose piercing which he was more than willing to do. Would recommend to anyone seeking a piercing! Great quality and great price.
