BAM Books has the worst customer service Ive ever had at a book store. I went in to get a book and was harassed by the woman at the counter to get a membership, at first I was like "sorry I cant afford it right now" And expecting it would be the same spiel I get at every place that has memberships, a little sell they try to make and that was it (like most places you have to expect it) But the woman didnt want to give me my book I had already paid for. She than got rude with me and when I finally got my book she rolled her eyes and walked away. That wasnt the worst of my experience there, when I was in the back looking for a book this other woman acted aloof when I asked her where to find it, and than when I found the book I thanked her for helping she replied "yeah whatever" and walked away, another person asked her for help and she responded "Im on break" I than made a comment to another employee there and he acted aloof to the misunderstanding. Somewhat like it was a privilege for me to get treated like trash by their employees. I dont go to a book store to be treated like an idiot or like crap. After I purchased my book I went to the coffee nook to read it and drink some coffee, and I sat my book down with my coat at a table and went 10 feet away to the counter to get coffee. The girl at the coffee counter was aloof as well, she had no clue on what I ordered even though it was advertised on the poster right next to her. than she asked if I was a member and I replied "no" She than said, "well youre gonna have to pay more than" and chuckled... She only filled my drink half full and than said "here" and walked away. By the time I got to my table with MY things on there, including a book I had just purchased, it was gone... My coat was there but my book was gone. The lady I had purchased the book from was walking, and I asked her where the book was. "I put it back on the shelf since it was abandoned at the table" She replied. At that moment I was furious and asked for the manager, when the manager came out I asked the manager why the employees felt they had the right to disrespect their customers and steal? the manager asked what I meant and I said "I just purchased this book" Showed the receipt and told the manager that I sat it down at the table and it was taken from the table that had my belongings on it. the woman than rudely interrupted "He shouldnt have abandoned it than" The manager asked if I left a book out that I didnt purchase and I said no, and if I didnt get my book back the police would be involved. Reluctant the manager went to the section and low and behold was the book with MY bookmarker in it... gave me the book and said "have a nice day" At least I got that right?

I used to go to Borders every week when it was there, now that it has switched hands to Books-A-Million for three years, I again tried to give this place another try, this being its fifth and last strike. Im just going to order online through someone else since I feel like Books-A-Millions are trying to gouge out any money they can from anyone. Today, for an example, I am not a member of their "club" since it costs money, and it doesnt seem logical for me to be apart of it. I purchased my item, and the lady at the register wouldnt stop trying to poke at me to try and get a membership card by spending my extra earned money on the stupid membership. She wouldnt give me my bagged items and was quite bitter that I didnt sign up, and didnt give me my purchased items until I was forced to just say it wasnt for me, and dont expect me back. She was relentless and really needed to take a chill-pill about the place. This is why the membership seriously wasnt for me. And that wasnt the first time people have acted towards me in the store. For crying out loud, I love to read and they are ruining anything to do with that place of good memories. Good luck with your business, you will have none with me. Sincerely, An Avid Reader, Steph

Got asked to CHOOSE up for 3 free magazines for two months. After the transaction went through the lady gave me a flyer and highlighted the area I would have to call to cancel. THAT is something that should be told and given to a customer ahead of time not after. This place is such a sham that it sells off customer cards and data without even giving the correct information ahead of time. I will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know not to shop at this scam of a place ever. Also reading about others this happened to some employees just sign you up without even asking and then 2 months later people get charged. BUYERS BEWARE they will scam you and after you throw away the recit good luck contacting them.

Terrible customer service at the font desk. I understand that the woman needs to do her ridiculous sales offer but I said NO thank you. She continued with her sales pitch. So I just let her get through, only to say No thank you again. She became short and with me when I declined for the 3rd time! I wanted to scream!!! RUDE Beast of a lady. Sheeesh.... fine selection of reading material, but be prepared to feel the wrath at the check out.

Theyll offer you a free magazine subscription for a month at the checkout and even though nowhere on the magazine form is there a payment option after a month theyll keep sending the magazine and youll start getting charged for it. I can only assume that since I paid for the items I originally bought with a card that BAM actually gave the magazine company my card info. If this is what they do they certainly didnt inform me of that.

Having to pay to use wifi at a bookstore is ridiculous. Mcdonalds has free wifi, every other coffee shop in town has free wifi. Thats what you do at a bookstore is read, use the internet and drink coffee. The store itself is pretty nice and most of the employees are helpful, although one of the girls at the coffee shop spends more time gabbing with potential hookups from her dorm than helping out customers.

Excellent bookstore. This was a Borders books that bought the store and has not disappointed. Bathrooms could be updated and cleaned more frequently but the rest of the store is immaculate. Offers and excellent selection and good prices. BAM also has anything from Mangas, Dungeons and Dragons, steamy romance novels and a large Christian section.

Bam is a store I like to go to now and then. There are chairs throughout the store if you want to relax and read for a bit. There is a coffee shop with snacks if you are hungry. Nice selection of vinyl records if you are into that. Not many book store left anymore, make sure to give them your business.

For the Joe Muggs coffee shop: my daughter dropped her smoothie when another customer pushed the door out from behind her. Miss Emily saw what happened and made her a new special one with whipped cream and sprinkles. She turned what could have been a terrible situation into a great one. Thanks
