I was at the store on 06-13-14, They had a reduced ground beef on a shelf. Two packages one for 1. 1/46 LB and other for 2. 1/89 LB. Both of them were 85/15 %. The smaller one was reduced to $3.09 LB while the larger package was reduced to $3.29 LB. I asked the Gentleman who worked there why is one cost more per LB more then the other, while they are the same % of ground beef. Gentlemen did not know but he left to ask. They told him its because the larger one cost less then the smaller package. I asked the Gentleman to look at the price, the larger was more per LB then the smaller package. He said he will get the Manager. Eric the meat Manager came and he said "This is how I have marked it this morning. If you dont want it, dont buy it." No other explanation was given, Man was angry and I didnt want to bother him I answered "I will do that." I left with out the outdated ground beef. Not friendly at all. I will shop else ware for my ground beef. Save-a-lot you get and F rating from me.

The thing I like most about Save-A-Lot is the easy access. Its small for a grocery store and the selection is more limited then your larger chains, but you can park near the store and Shop without having to deal with large crowds and long walks. Prices are fair although not as low as some discount operations.

When I bought supplies here Most went bad the same day. I had Milk & Lunch meat go bad the same day. And had to look at the eggs and most broke looked through 6 things of them before finding on carton. That didnt have any broken. So Save A Lot is buyer beware.

Nice folks here, but honestly about as costly as other stores in the area such as Kroger. Is a convenient in and out stop and shop.
