Being African American I must say recently I was in the store. on the first occasion I was profiled for being African American. As I roam from Ladies Department and just made my way looking around. I noticed two white employees, or lost prevention people. Suddenly in my space I guess when they observed I was not attempting to steal anything. They where gone out of my view. Yesterday January 17, 2017 I was in your store in search of a Pea Coat with Epaulets on the shoulders for my husband. I ask the employee who was profiling me. "do you carry any Pea Coats with Epaulets." She told me no the Martinsburg Store did not carry them. She told me maybe the Hagarstown Store might carry some. Then I told her that I found one on line at Bon Ton. So we went over to the check out station. and we found the coat that I saw the night before. But while I was standing there discussing the coat. An older white employee (maybe 50ish)walks up to the sales associate and asked. "Is everything ok looking at me dead in my face. If that is not profiling you could fooled me. The Sales associate told the older looking employee. "yes I am helping her to order a coat online. The sad thing about this is I spend good amount of money at your Martinsburg store. One funny thing I have noticed while shopping, or looking around the store. Whites are not profiled this is from my personal observation.

I wasnt happy why give twenty dollar coupons for every two hundred dollars you spend if your interested going to be told you cant use them at the register ...I would be better off spending my money somewhere else ... Be more like your competitors if its our rewards for spending our money there let us use our all our rewards

Not the best selection. Employees are not nice unless your kids butter them up and are cute. Ok experience but i think they look a little poorly on lower income people who use school clothing vouchers. At least until they get to kniw them. But i guess that is how the half who dont get help see it. Always blame the victim.

I love bon ton but not a fan of the coupon/discount system they have going on. Otherwise great quality pieces and great prices when they have door busters and incredible values!
