I started loving JCPenney again a few years ago when I frequented a free standing store very close to my house in Mason, Ohio. They frequently send their favorite shoppers coupons in the mail ($10 off any $25 purchase and $10 of any $10 purchase is their most common and my favorite). I think you become a favorite shopper by signing up for their rewards program and keeping your address updated. We moved to Chambersburg, PA 18 months ago and through Google and asking questions, I learned the store in Chambersburg Mall was closing down. However, the Hagerstown Valley Mall is only 20 or so minutes from me so its easy to find right off the highway. They have good discounts, I like some of their store brands like Worthington, Stylus, Xersion, A.N.A., and Arizona. I rarely shop the mall and just enter through the store, which is open later than the mall. We have also made great shopping trips where I give my coupons to my husband I download separate coupons onto my phone to use on separate transactions. They carry Sketcher gym shoes, which my husband likes. Hes found great looking ties and dress shirts for a steal. Its definitely worth the trip. The employees are mostly very helpful. This mall is also clustered by many restaurants, theres a Kohls, Ross, and Target store behind the Mall. We belong to Massage Envy which now has a franchise in Hagerstown so its our regular "Date Night" (or Day) to get a massage, eat out, and shop.

I really like this store. Friendly staff, I can find what I am looking for, and shop for the whole family at reasonable prices and great sale prices. They are doing more with appliances now, but I hope the apparel, accessories, and shoes never go away.

Nice store but dont go in the summer time because they never have any air conditioning. The poor staff has to work in a stuffy hot department store. Its miserable.

Didnt find a good selection of freezers even though there is a big "Now selling appliances" on the store. The selection is limited.
