I am a 59 year old businessman and have been involved in the service business all my career. I cannot remember being more dissatisfied with the service of any business more than with the "service" (note the quotation marks) provided by Vancouver Eye Care at the East Mill Plain location. From the 4 calls that I was required to keep making due to no promised return calls to schedule an appointment to the cold and disinterested attitude shown by the receptionist to the robotic doctor recitation during which she would not hear questions prior to being done with her speech, and I could go on. The capper was last night when I was 20 minutes late for a 4:15 follow-up appointment that I was told would be very brief. After working through traffic and being in my car for an hour trying to get there, I was told that I would have to reschedule. This from an establishment that made me wait at least 30 minutes before on every prior visit despite being on time for those appointments. I will never darken this business door again once I am through with my final appointment. Im sure my attempt to re-schedule today will be a wholly frustrating experience. The eye surgery was successful but the service was deplorable. I would definitely NOT recommend this clinic.

Worst experience I have had. I went to this clinic to my eyes checked for a new glasses prescription. They did not check my insurance to find out what I had for coverage, deductibles etc. They had me accept a procedure that they either did not know how to code for insurance or did not care to find out what the code was. In turn this cost me several hundred dollars out of my pocket. They had a doctor that apparently was new and diagnosed my eyes with a severe situation that frankly scared the h--l out of me. She sent me to a laser surgery clinic across the street to have a laser procedure done. I got a second opinion from a competent clinic in Portland and found out that my situation was classified unusual but not serious and definitely not needing laser surgery. And the Portland eye clinic I went to looked up my insurance, coded the procedure correctly and cost me my $35 deductible. If you are looking for eye experts, I cannot recommend Vancouver Eye Clinic...please look around.

Rotated three of my kids through this location over the last month for eye exams and glasses, and was never dissatisfied with the service. From filling out paperwork at the front desk, to the time we picked up glasses it was a very friendly and professional experience. I would recommend this business to others.
