I do not know if I was not cool enough for the shop or he did not want to follow thru with his 20 percent military discount, but I never got a response to email or phone call. Went in to check place out, set up appointment, get prices for what I wanted. Mace told me to email him what I and my mom wanted, so I did. No response so I called 4 days later, left message with whoever answered the phone. It has been over 5 days now and no call back. It is really too bad they don not follow thru with everyone, cool or not. I am a very loyal customer if you treat me right. I know a lot of people that I would have been happy to pass the good word on to. But it is his loss! And I have plans for more tattoos in the future and again, as a loyal customer, I would go back. His loss yet again! In the bad economy today it is surprising people would give up good business because of pride, ego, or whatever. If his big deal was the military discount, do not offer it if you are going to do this to people. Oh, and I tip well too. So that money he was out for the discount about 20 dollars would be back in his pocket since I had wanted 2 tattoos. Too bad, will take business elsewhere. To someone who appreciates every customer.

I finally decided to get a tattoo last September so decided to do my homework and check out 15 of the highest rated or recommended shops. I knew I wanted my tattoo by March (my 50th birthday) so really had the opportunity to look and not feel pressured. One day while at work, I had the opportunity to stop by Altered Reality and talk to Mace about my idea for the foot tattoo. He listened to what I had in mind and immediately made me feel comfortable. The shop is well lit, very clean (by far the cleanest around this area!) and comfortable. However, I still had 4 shops to check (all 15, whew!) and talk to the artists. Not one of the other places made me feel so welcomed or comfortable. I went back to Altered Reality and set my appointment. Mace was SO great! He knew exactly what I was trying to convey and drew it out in seconds. I was a little apprehensive as Im sure most people are with their first tattoo but Mace was ready. He was very calming, worked quickly and the tattoo is absolutely gorgeous. I VERY highly recommend Altered Reality to everyone. Mace, Dustin and Jake are wonderful and made this experience better than I could have imagined. Thank you...

My husband and I have been wanting to get new tattoos. We didnt know who to go to. Our Son Jason gave us the name of the tattoo shop he went to and totally trusted, which is Altered Reality in Vancouver. We live in Pendleton Oregon, over 200 miles away. Thru email Mace was able to get an idea of what my husband and I wanted. We made our appointments and met Mace and his artists a couple weeks later. We couldnt be more pleased with his work, with their shop and with the other young men in the shop. They are all polite and up front honest and are true artists, not just with ink, but with easels as well. We were impressed. Their shop is very clean, they all look at making their customers comfortable. They work with their customers and are honest to them working with getting the design and color that is best. I am a Mother of 2 sons, who have gotten tattoos. As parents, we would highly recommend Altered Reality to do the art. We highly trust them, as individuals and as artists.. The Altered Reality Tattoo Shop is kept immaculately clean and sanitary. The artist Brandon Robert was the definition of professional for my appointment on 2Nov14. After waiting 2 years to find an artist and shop I was comfortable with to get my very large first tattoo; this was the place. A 3 Hour drive was well worth the time when I arrived after speaking with Brandon on the phone and explaining the piece I wanted to have done. Not only did he have a reference drawn out for me, but he was willing to make all the modifications I wanted to it and redrew it for my appointment the following day. Brandon took the time to explain what to expect and I felt more then knowledgeable about what I was getting myself into after talking with him. After 6 hours of tattooing my leg in what seemed to be an incredible efficient manner I am ecstatic about the piece of art on my leg already and still have 1 more session to finish up the piece. The artists at Altered Reality Tattoo are the only people who will be inking my skin and much respect goes out to all of them. I deffiantly recomend them to everyone.

This is a top notch tattoo shop puts every other tattoo shop i have been in to shame! Bright clean shop! Amazing true artists are great guys who know their industry inside and out! Im currently finishing up with JC an 11+ hour coverup on my back. After 3years of looking for an artist who wasnt all talk and losing over 4-500$ at several shops in the area walking out because unacceptable practices thought i was sadly going to lazer off my mistakes for my wedding. Then I found JC and Altered Reality. He worked with me in my time frame of a few weeks and immediately found exactly the look and style if wings that i wanted. Had them drawnout and ready to transfer on the day of my tattoo and then he worked majic on my back. My wings are truely a work of art and beauty unlike anyone elses ever! They change me from the tattoo critic i had become back into a tattoo inthusiest. I will be going back as will all of my friends and family. Only one shop in my book!

I have been a customer of Altered Reality Tattoo for several years. As a cancer survivor I had several deep scares on my back and stomach. I was told tattooing over these scares would be extremely difficult. Through several sittings Mace has been able to create beautiful art over my scares. My plastic surgeon has mentioned several times to me how smooth and clean the tattoos are over the scares. As a 40+ professional women being in the shop is very comfortable. All the artists are professional. The shop is decorated with paintings on the wall from the artists showing their talent in another medium. If you are looking for a shop which is clean and professional Altered Realty Tattoo is the place for you.

I came upon Altered Reality by following JC there. He does great work with the best lines Ive ever personally seen. Hes always been professional and welcoming. Ive been in a lot of tattoo shops in Washington and this is the first time I have been impressed. This is the cleanest shop Ive been in. The owner, Mace, is professional and stands behind his and his peoples work. I have an amazing portrait piece that people love. I cant wait to have my forearm done and I tell everyone I know to go here! Please check out their work. The people in Altered Reality have amazing talent and are willing to work with you on beautiful, creative pieces.
