I recently rented a dethatching machine from the Tumwater WA store. I stopped by on a Saturday to pick up the machine, hoping to rent it for 24 hours (the way similar rental stores work around here), so I would be able to return it first thing Monday morning. I was told that wasnt possible, and Id have to return the machine within 24 hours. I agreed to that. Upon getting home I started to use the machine, it would run for about a minute then quit. Trying to get it to restart was almost impossible. Out of frustration I called Home Depot to inform them that Id be returning the machine the following morning (it was already late in the afternoon). Did I mention I live 30 miles away? I picked up a different machine the next day to do the job, What a difference! I found out also that I could have rented the exact same machine from a local rental agency for $47 and kept it for the entire weekend, instead of the $71.50 Home Depot charged. All in all, this was a terrible experience from and otherwise excellent company.

Submitted an order online for over 1,000 pounds of building materials. The order was not ready when I arrived, so they put it together then. No pallet, so we had to hand load it into the truck. Many of the bags of dry materials had holes and splits and are leaking. One of the items was incomplete. When I questioned the staff, they took me to the item on the shelf and insisted it was complete. I confirmed the missing parts online when I got back to my office. I really do not have time to manage sales associates. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Home Depot in my life.

I made the decision today to never shop at this store again, in spite of the fact that it is in my neighborhood. Incompetent, dismissive and flat-out rude employees are the norm. Items are not regularly restocked on the shelves and I routinely get the run-around about orders. This is one of the first online reviews I have ever written but will do my best to ensure that this store gets no business from my friends and family. This is the only way to send a message to Home Depot that its customers expect better products and better service.

This is one of the friendlier Home Depots I find myself in. The staff seems to know their stuff pretty well. Its got a great selection and you can usually find what you are looking for. The garden area is usually pretty good but they seem to struggle a little more than some stores in the area keeping plants looking fresh. I can usually find exactly what I am looking for.

The manager has ALWAYS come correct if there has been a specific issue that has been addressed. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. If they dont know, they do what they can to find out. Ive had a time or 2 that wasnt fabulous, but we ALL have bad days and Ive had WAY more good experiences here then bad. I would highly recommend this store!

Ill never shop at this Home Depot again. I dont have all afternoon to wait for someone that doesnt know how to operate a stacker while they rearrange an entire aisle. I value my time, could of gone to Lowes and been back in my yard working in the amount of time I spent in a store with substandard customer assistance.

Worst customer service. Ive literally had employees look at me turn and run the other direction not to answer a question. No one in the store knows their department. The best advice I got was from the kid mixing my paint who told me that I should probably just go to Sherwin-Williams if I wanted the "Good stuff".

Friendly, helpful staff. Almost always can find someone with the expertise needed to help me with a project. Also pet friendly carts lined with rugs for KP and his friends and parking spots reserved for vets.

This stores customer service is terrible. I got an attitude from Wendy. Its not my problem the employes hate their jobs. This store also never has what I want. This store is now the LAST resort.

The inventory is pretty good. You can find just about everything you need. Though, it can be a little difficult to get someone help you and random employees can be a tad condescending.
