Many years ago I went to Ballard to pick up my son from his self defense class. I noticed that someone had left 6 beautiful dinning room chairs out side of the Don Willis Store in Ballard. I knocked on the door, no response. I took the chairs which were quite valuable and took them over to the tavern just down the street. They let me put the chairs over in a corner and thanked me for noticing that one of the employes at Don Willis had left those SIX chairs out and not chained up etc. A few days later I stopped by Don Willis in Ballard to be sure they got their chairs back. They did. I told them I was concerned because they had been left out and could have easily been stolen. They said no problem they got them back. I found it really odd that the bartender at the Tavern thanked me BUT I DIDNT GET SO MUCH AS A THAT WAS NICE, THANK YOU ETC. IN FACT THE EMPLOYEE I SPOKE TO WAS RATHER SHORT WITH ME AND SEEMED PERTURBED. They do leave stuff out now but it is chained up. I should have just left the chairs out and let someone steal them. Maybe that would have taught them a lesson. But I am not that kind of person. I am glad I took the chairs in for them and probably would do it again.

This store is large, well lit, and full of beautiful solid wood furniture. Be careful entering, you _will_ want everything in the store. Don Potter patiently took my wife and I around the store, answering all our questions about construction, wood selection, and sourcing. In the end, we bought a beautiful dresser that makes us smile every time we see it. The delivery was easy to schedule and arrived on time. Excellent experience all around!

Good wood furniture at reasonable prices. I had some bookcases made, took six weeks. Im very happy with the results. The store is a little old-fashioned and slightly cluttered. Dont be put off by that. The staff is friendly and helpful
