When I went to stir a 5-gallon bucket of paint, there was tons of white dried gunk in the bottom of the bucket. We had to filter it through a strainer. For $250 per 5 gallons, I would expect much higher level of quality control, but it went up okay after wed filtered out the mess of dry white paint. When I went back to the store and told them about it (I wasnt looking for compensation or anything - I just wanted to let them know there was a problem), the guy seemed mostly uninterested and entirely unapologetic. I took it up the chain of command and eventually had a sales rep come over to my place to help sort out a few issues - one of the walls had an uneven finish. She suggested I add another coat, on top of the two Id already put up. The paint I used didnt have a "one-coat" guarantee, but requiring three (not including the tinted primer) seems ridiculous for moderately expensive paint. She also seemed mostly uninterested in my problem with their quality control, and even though she said shed follow up, I never heard back from her. I rated it 2 stars because Im mostly okay with how the paint turned out, but I could have gone to Home Depot or Lowes and been just as happy for significantly less cash, and probably would not have had the same quality control issues. With the number of perfectly acceptable places to go for paint in the area, I dont see any reason at all to use this place again.

I went here to get some wood stain. It was $8 for the smallest can they had (basically a pint). I went up to buy it and it rang up at $9. I said the sign said $8, and she was like "Oh, well weve raised our prices twice in the past two months and we didnt update all the labels." WTF. In this economy theyre repeatedly _raising_ prices??? Then she insulted me saying "One dollar is that important to you?" Well if its that important to them why shouldnt it be important to me? After talking to the manager, I got it for $8, but felt bad about the experience. So I returned it 10 minutes later, then went to Home Depot and got the same thing for $5.50.

I own a painting business that relies on various paint vendors. Jim Mallory has created a fantastic team and culture at Mallory Paint. I now use Mallory Paint and Benjamin Moore products on the majority of my projects. The service that I receive from the stores and my paint rep Linda Meeker is incredible. My orders are always correct, they are on time, and the products are incredible. Both Linda and the stores go above and beyond to help me with any need that I have. I can say without hesitation that Mallory Paint will do a fantastic job helping you with all of your painting needs.

Went to the store, they were not informative. In fact, I felt a bit taken advantage of as I dont know much about paint. Gave them a chunk of my wall and asked them to match the paint. They said it would take 3 days. So I picked it up 3 days later. Took it home to repaint... it was a different sheen and different color... I paid $60...eff that. I will NEVER go back there again. And I will make sure everyone I know whos looking for a paint supplier knows of my experience.

What a difference! As a professional painting contractor, I have used this location for years. The service has always been acceptable. I figured if I want the Benjamin Moore product, Ill just have to deal with the long lines...Not any more! Lately, I walk in and within seconds I am greeted and told my phone order has been waiting on me. I sign a receipt and the next thing you know, I am getting help out to my truck. Thanks for picking up the pace!

I called in to place an order over the phone and the gentleman speaking was reasonably polite. I asked for a total and he replied, "No I cant. Its like $60 a gallon or something." I had previously been shopping the same paint at the 4th avenue store and was sure that the price per gallon for the brand I wanted was approximately $48. The fact that he wouldnt check the price and offer me a total was enough reason to cancel the order. What a rip off.

I have been at this store with several people waiting for a long time, and the help is chit chatting with themselves and customers about stuff that is absolutely innappropriate while people are waiting... They didnt aknowledge me or anyone else. We were all looking at each other scratching our heads... Terrible crowd control and ettiquette S-L-O-W and RUDE service.. There are other places to buy Ben Moore... Buyer Beware....

First visit: waited at counter for 3-4 minutes without being acknowledged while employees shuffled here and there. Purchased two paint samples = $15 total. Home depot - 3 paint samples = $8. Second visit: ditto with cust.serv. We are going to get our paint elsewhere! G&G
