RED FLAG EXPERIENCE. I went to Tattoo Machine last week and was sorely disappointed. When I pulled up to the shop, another car was parked next to mine with a number of confederate flag stickers. This made me apprehensive but, I figured maybe the person who owned this car wasn’t in that shop. Also, I have talked to people with confederate flags on their cars, who say its more about their working class Southern pride then any racism towards people of color. So I headed in, got a price quote from the piercer and then asked to use the bathroom. On my way to the bathroom, I looked over to a tattoo station where a print out of a confederate flag was clipped to their tattoo area and a man was laying there getting the flag as a tattoo. I guess the world was looking out for me because all I had was a debit card and all they take is cash. So I left to get cash with my partner. As we walked to the ATM, I talked about feeling bad for not wanting to get pierced there anymore. I didn’t want to financially support a place that would tattoo people with, the confederate flag. A symbol that, even if the person who displays it doesn’t mean it to, causes me as a black person to fear that the owner wants to cause me physical harm. As such, I went back in said I wasn’t interested in getting pierced their anymore and left. While leaving, I saw another sticker, on the same car that I had missed. It said, “Uncle Sam Wants You to Speak English.” I guess the drivers intentions through displaying that many confederate flags, was to send a racist message. Since leaving I have looked at the resources for Tattoo Machine online. It looks like they have enough of a positive following, which I am assuming helps with their revenue, to not have to support racist violence through their tattoos.

Im impressed! I came in to get a tattoo fixed that I had gotten on vacation. Ive seen Brians work before, not only on their website, but also on a friend of mine and I liked what hes done. The person I talked to when I first went in to schedule my fix (not sure of her name) was really nice and personable. When I came back for the actual tattoo, Brian was equally as nice and Im thrilled with how my tattoo turned out. I plan on having a pretty large back piece done (hopefully this coming Winter) and will definitely come back to Brian. The shop looks great and is extremely clean. Before Brian uses a needle, I noticed him double checking it with a magnifier before putting it in the gun. Ive never seen an artist do that before, but I appreciated that he took the couple extra seconds to check it before using it on me. It just shows that hes not about rushing through his clients...he took his time even with my simple tattoo. I definitely recommend this shop! Im excited to see what Brian comes up with for my back piece!

my first tattoo...so i was nervous. I handed him a stencil and he told me in a few days he would email me the finished product..3 weeks later I call him. He says he cant find it "oh wait here it is" then i go to see it and its the same thing just curved no effort put into it at all. I leave out of the country and come back and then go there and added a humming bird to my original script. The RUDE receptionist said she would give it to him. I called him that same day, he said he rcvd the humming bird and will add it and email me the finished product or call me to come look at it...1 week and a half goes by...i finally call...he says he cant find it and "someone stole it"..he means he lost it. IS THIS SOMEONE YOU WANT TO BE PUTTING SOMETHING PERMANENT ON YOU!!!!!????? NOT ME.....im going somewhere else

I have a few friends who have been tattooed here.Non of them recently though. I went in for a quote but the person in front acted as if I was wasting her time. I felt like I was getting pushed out the door. She also couldnt tell me anything about pricing or the artist who worked there. When I asked when an artist would be free for me to talk to,she said I would have to make an appointment.I asked her how soon I could talk to one and she said not for at least a week. She didnt even bring out an appointment book out for me to select a date! She just walked away like I was wasting her time. I have tattoos and the only reason I was there and not where I usually get work done is that, the shop I use to go to is in California. I will discourage anyone from going here!

Great Place!! I feel compelled to write a review since I have been going to this shop for years. This place has always treated me with respect and have never made me feel uncomfortable. I have about 15 hours worth of tattoos total and have been impressed not only with the artists at Tattoo Machine but the way the tattoos have stood up over time. All the color and line work is still like the day they were put on. To the person that gave a one star and pretty much called the shop racist.. you are way out of line. Not one of the people working there could be in any way be considered that. Keep your politics off review sites.

Went to get a back piece done, was told by Brian he would text me a drawing of what he comes up with, in a couple days. That was Thursday. Tuesday I call, he said still doing research would be done by Thursday. I call Thursday night,he said will text picture tonight or tomorrow morning. Now its Sunday, no picture, not even a courtesy phone. Highly feeling that he must not be as interested in doing it as i was having him do it. Heard good things about him, but with spending that kind of money, think I want to find someone thats interested in doing it.

I came here back in 2005 to get my nose pierced. I was nervous about cleanliness, but the gal who pierced my nose was thorough, and made sure that I saw her open new instruments. She explained everything that she was doing, and was really quick. Later, I came back and got my tattoo. Again, it was a really clean environment. The tattoo artist was completed mine in about 20 minutes, and it was really reasonably priced - only about 35 dollars. Id been looking for a place that was clean and professional, and found both at Tattoo Machine.

I heard they do good tattoos but when I went in to try and have them draw me up a tattoo they were not very nice. First off they didnt even say one word to me for about 10 minutes and I just stood there waiting for them to acknowledge me. Then I told him my idea and he said I needed to draw up an idea and then he just walked away. I dont care if you are the best in town, I would rather drive up to Seattle where they do better work and treat you wayyy nicer.
