Dr. Douglas Jeske is the real deal. He actually cares about your overall health, not just shining a light in your eyes and collecting the insurance payment. When was the last time you went in for an eye exam and had the doctor spend an hour with you? Not because there is anything wrong, but because thats what a real examination takes? I had been to numerous optometrists in the past, but rarely went, even though my insurance pays for the examinations, just because they seemed pointless. I met Doug through my own business and was impressed with his passion and apparent sincerity and integrity. So I gave him a try. Since my first checkup at VUE, Ive been a believer. This guy is fantastic. Hes real. He listens. Hes sincerely helpful. A+. Great little optical boutique right downtown, too.

I moved to Olympia recently and needed a new eye doctor, found this place by searching my insurances (VSP) website for doctors. This place is great! Walking distance to work so I can take an hour out of my day to get my eyes checked, and Dr. Jeske is fantastic. He has a sense of humor, he doesnt keep you waiting, and he seems genuinely interested in both your eyes and you as a person. He seems to have your best interest in mind (he and the other woman working there helped me figure out whether it was a better deal to use my insurance for glasses or contacts), and talks to you instead of staring at a computer screen during your appointment. I think Ive found my new optometrist! I also look forward to trying to buy glasses here someday, their frames seem really nice.

They are the friendliest and most professional optometrist and staff in my experience, bar none. Visiting Olympia from abroad, I needed an eye exam but had limited time and had not scheduled an appointment. The staff was most accommodating and scheduled me for a late morning visit. Dr. Jeske gave me a thorough eye exam and resolved vision issues that had been bothering me for years. I am most grateful! Of course, their location in downtown Olympia is perfect. How fortunate I was to have chosen VUE! Many thanks to Dr. Jeske and staff!

I moved to Olympia recently and needed to be fitted for contacts. Dr. Jeske and his staff are knowledgable & seemed genuinely interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding my needs and expectations– the attention I received during my appointment was superb. I dont plan on going anywhere else for my optometry needs! The location is also perfect, nestled in the heart of downtown Olympia, a nice bonus that makes the visit feel more than a routine appointment– I always find myself wanting to wander around downtown when Im there.

VUE is a really unique optometry and eye care clinic in Olympia. For starters, theyre located right smack in downtown! The clinic has a very "boutique" vibe and the optometrist, Doctor Jeske, is extremely knowledeable and never seems rushed or impersonal. Best of all, their frames are stunningly cool and totally unlike anything else Ive seen in Olympia. They range from trendy to downright funky and their selection is perfect for someone who enjoys quirky style (like me). Three thumbs up for this Olympia optometry clinic!

VUE and Dr. Jeske are wonderful. Theres no reason to choose a different optometrist in the Olympia area. Keeping with the concept that those with the most knowledge provide the best care, Dr. Jeske performs the refractions himself. Hes personable, engaging with both adults and children, and the office team is top notch. Dont look elsewhere if this is a practice youre considering.
