1) I had a conversation with the woman in the deli it went it exactly like this Me: Hello do you- Her: *holding up some strangers key* This your key? Me: No. I just want som- Her: Ok *walks away* *My mom is being helped by another lady in the chinese food, lady clearly doesnt know what shes doing* Me: (im pretty flustered by this point) Do you guys have Macaroni and Cheese? other lady: Let me go ask chef (her grammar, not mine) No not today. Macaroni and Cheese has been served everyday for the past 18 years, I think your chef just doesnt want to prepare it. Also, the ladies at the deli can hardly speak English. This creates a problem between the customer and the employee. Now, you have 7 CHECKOUT STANDS. Its SUNDAY the busiest day of the week in Snoqaulmie Valley and you try to get by with ONLY 3 checkstands open? Are you serious? On top of this; your checkers have absolutely no urgency. Finally, we had cupcakes in our groceries..and what does the bagger do? PUT THEM IN THE BAGS UPSIDE DOWN. ON TOP OF THIS SHE PUTS HOT STUFF WITH COLD STUFF, AND OUR BREAD GOT SMASHED. Luckily I took the cupcakes out and put them in their own separate bag. SPEAKING OF THAT, HALF THE STUFF WE HAD DIDNT EVEN END UP IN A BAG. IS THE MANAGER HERE JUST..COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO THE FACT THAT THESE EMPLOYEES DONT KNOW HOW TO DO ANYTHING???? This is probably the worst service Ive ever had here, especially after 18 years. Going to be shopping at QFC from now on. At least the service will be worth the expensive price. If you ask me, just pass this place by and go to QFC.

This Safeway is the only decent grocery store in North Bend (theres a QFC further in downtown as well). Its located conveniently just off I90, and therefore gets a lot of clientele who are going over Snoqualmie Pass on weekend trips, camping, etc. Its clean and organized. The one gripe I have (as does everyone who comes through here) is how incompetent and slow most of the staff is. There doesnt seem to be any sense of urgency from most of the check-out cashiers, and it takes forever to get anything from the deli most of the time. The management seems to go through changes every few months, and theres lack of consistency in practice and service. Very disappointing. Another issue Ive discovered is how frequently perishables are expired! Ive pointed out expired sour cream and yogurt to staff in the past and literally watched them place it back onto the shelf after I walk away. Not only is this rude, its a health hazard. So beware and check the expiration dates on your purchases.

The lines are horrific with always only 1 checker and my receipt is Always wrong from being over charged. They are good at refunding your money, IF you can get someone to customer service. No self-check out so you can be sure to get behind a couple of full carts, when you only have a couple items. Right off of I-90 and its either the last stop before heading East or going West, the first stop after coming over Snoqualmie Pass. The whole town of North Bend and Snoqualmie shop here (we only have 2 grocery stores in North Bend. THEY make lots of money! So obviously Management does not care about the customers or theyd at least have more checkers available. Kuddos to the city officals for letting Safeway plant themselves in our once small town and making them take care of the residents as part of a contract. TIP: if you are in a hurry, only have a couple items, dont cate about paying a little more than go to QFC.

the employees were very rude & gave off a lot of attitude. One of the employees was on her phone while taking my order. The coffees (both hot mochas) were cold and poorly made. They had no food choices such as breakfast sandwiches or muffins. They talked to us me like I was a 5 year old. This is the only store Ive been to that has had such poor quality, please go to the other Starbucks across the street from there.

Be prepared for an insanely long wait to check out at this store. Frequently understaffed, no express checkout other than 20 item limit, and no way to check yourself out. If youre planning to drop in to grab something simple like a single drink or 6-pack hit QFC instead where you can be in and out in minutes. Safeway tends to take me 3-5 minutes to shop and 30-45 minutes just to get through checkout.

This store is horrible for checking out Never more then 2 main lanes open and the checkers do the best they can . Management really should hop in and open up other check stands I often watch people dump their carts and walk away. Unfortunately tbis and QFC only options in Northbend..cant wait for store at Ridge to open maybe they will open check stands instead of standing and watching

Consistently horrible customer service from the bakery (rude and yells over you), to check out (major attitude/no eye contact and mad I was in her line) to front desk (refused to help). Its sad to see it not improving over the years, and seeing the few employees that were trueIy helpful go away. I hope they do some major changes when the new one opens up on the ridge.

Only reason I rated a 3 because the older lady that processed my order didnt want to spoke. I had to speak first. Then she she said my card not authorized. Told her to run it again and the look on her face was shocked that it was approved. Other than that everyone else pleasent and happy. If I didnt encounter that cashier, the company would of got 5 stars.

The Deli and flowers are the only redeeming part of this safeway...the new manager does not know how to staff people. There are always lines...I mean LINES FOR DAYS, 7 or 8 people in each line. It drives me crazy...I now shop at QFC even though Safeway is much closer and more convenient. See pic for what I mean about lines

Their sandwich place use to have the best sandwiches. Now the meat is no longer wrapped. They dont give the employees any time before or after hours to prepare for the next day. If you are expecting your usual fresh sandwiches, go to another location. Be ready for stale dry meat, bad veggies, and empty soup cans.

Worst fresh food services. Waited and waiyed, no one approach. Finally an employee saw me yet immediately turn around to serve another lady who cut the line. Horrible experiences. Never stop by again for Fresh food section. The manager of the store need to fired. Also no napkins at all in this section.

No self checkouts, always massive lines. Youll be faster driving to the QFC downtown about .75 mile Other than that it is a large, clean and well maintained store with a wide variety of grocery products, health products, a deli, grill, etc, cold alcohol.

Convenient, good selection and friendly staff. However, long lines are incredibly common and no effort is made to open additional lanes. It has been an issue consistently and management fails to address.

i only go here if i have to. i live in town but choose to go to QFC because they have self check out. the lines at safeway are always insanely long and they have no urgency to get you through.
