Recently, my wife and I decided to go skiing, and desperately needed a last minute tune-up for my snowboard and her snow blades. Every place I looked up online required at least 3-4 days turnaround, or charged an excessive per-item rush fee. I went to Bothell Ski and Bikes website and talked to Kyle using their online chat. I explained our situation, and he said their shop could get our stuff done in time, without charging a HUGE rush fee, as long as I could drop it off ASAP. When I dropped it off, he looked over the snow blades and decided theyd only need a cheap wax and edge sharpen. Nice. The snowboard base was in rough shape, including one bad gouge, but he said they could get it looking "new," though it would cost me a fair amount. Fine. He also said theyd call when it was ready. The next day, they never did call (my only, TINY complaint) but I called and they said my stuff was ready. I showed up and inspected the snowboard and its base looked GREAT. The big gouge was discretely filled, and the big scratches to the PTEX were filled in very smoothly. It did look as close to "new" as I could expect. I used the gear the next day at Crystal and the wax job was just right - definitely super fast. Overall, I was very happy with the customer service and the shop work done at Bothell Ski and Bike. Id definitely go back there again for new gear or more service work.

I truly believe you should write a review when a company and its employees do a fantastic job in getting you set up. I came into the shop three different times to check out bikes for my first major spendy road bike experience. Both John and Gregg were awesome. They listed options, sizes, comfort zones, and technical abilities in each bike. They were not pushy and they set up each bike for a trial so that I can find the right feel and get all the experience I needed to make a decision on my own. Which of course was tough due to the fact I liked multiple bikes and had a hard time deciding. Again, they did not push me into a bike, instead they helped me find my way by asking questions and finding out what would work best for me. After I found the correct bike, they walked me through the entire process of items needs to ride today and items for the future. The whole process was awesome and I plan on becoming a repeat customer and a firm promoter of their business. Thanks guys, you deserve a solid 5 star review.

So, I will claim upfront that I went into Bothell Ski & Bike with the plan of getting a bike today for my little girl. I have been researching the price-points of youth bikes, and had a price-point that I was willing to pay for one. We found a bicycle at Bothell Ski & Bike that out daughter liked. There was no price on the bicycle, so I asked the employee what the cost was, and they informed me a price that was higher than the MSRP, but I didnt know that until I got home and researched the price on the manufacturers site. To top it off, they charged me more than the MSRP on a prior year model. Im giving Bothell Ski & Bike a 3-star, which I think is more than fair only because the employee that serviced us was very nice, and treated my family very nicely. I expect that kids bicycles (that have slim margins) are handled differently than adult bicycles, but even so, I probably wont go back just because I feel a bit ripped off for paying more (be it only a few bucks) on a prior year model bicycle.

My Wife and I moved to Seattle in 2000 with two kids in junior high. Over the years we have purchased 7 very good to near perfect “appropriate“ bikes. Multiple pairs of skis along with boots and lots of accessories and gear. The proprietors John and Greg have staffed their shop with excellent staff that are accomplished mechanic/cyclists ranging from keen competitors, avid commuters, wacky mtn bikers to passionate recreational bikers. They are a service oriented shop focused on purveying the appropriate goods at competitive prices that make it fun and easy for their customers to be active cyclists. I have often spotted the staff out biking or working on the local trails contributing to the community. In simple terms Bothell Ski and Bike continues to be our number one go to bike store in a city where there are many excellent bike stores.

Until today, my experiences have been positive here, but never again! After following THEIR recommendation for a product that didnt work, they refused to refund me for it! What the heck? They said that their policy is not to offer returns on used parts. Well, the only reason that I bought the stuff is because you recommended it. They did offer to "set the tire up for free" after I told them that I just installed a tube after their recommended orange slime crap didnt work. Just a waste of time and money. I try to maintain my support for small businesses like this one, but these guys wont see me again. And to think, you could have just refunded me the $20. I will gladly drive the extra 5 minutes to Woodinville Bicycle.

Picked up a felt decree 3, I live about 3 hours away and on my first ride the pedal sheared out of the crank arm. Bothell Ski & Bike was extremely easy to work with offered to replace my parts VIA mail but preferred to do the work themselves, I brought the bike in and they upgraded my crank and bottom bracket parts for free and installed them within 40 minutes of me dropping the bike off and then gave me a sweet deal on some pedals because of how far I had to drive. Outstanding customer service when I buy my DH bike it will definately be from here!

Brought in a wheel for repair, and although the repair job was decent, they removed the quick release and forgot to put it back on. It wasnt till we got back home that wed realized what they had done, and had to drive all the way back. They had also closed the store even though we had told them we were on our way, although we were able to catch someone in the parking lot and get our quick release. Also, the quick release they gave us is not the original one that was on the bike, but rather a much more used one.

I met John when my friend was looking for a bike, and he remembered me when I came in to get my bike looked at. They were able to replace the shifters on my bike in about a half hour, for $50 parts and labor. I bought a bike rack for my car, and one of the guys came outside to show me how to install it (I didnt pay for an install at all). I was very well taken care of, and couldnt recommend this place more. They will continue to get my business.

These guys are great. Super friendly and super reliable. I spent a fortune on a new tri bike some years ago. They were excellent then, but I received the same exemplary service, care and attention when I called them for a tiny replacement spring for a rear gear shifter last week. I live in Canada, but they sourced and delivered the part within a week, leaving me free to race at the weekend.
