I had very poor customer service when I had a warranty issue with a pair of La Sportiva boots. The tag on the boots said to return them to the place of purchase and when I did the staff had no knowledge of how to handle the situation. They said I would have to wait until the owner got back in town. When I got in touch with the owner he said he would call me back in a couple hours after he talked to the manufacturer and he never did. I called back a couple days later and a lady told me to bring in the boots and they would send them back for me. When I went to turn in the boots for the second time the staff had no knowledge of my issue and told me they would send back the boots for me, but I had to pay for shipping. After three weeks without a call back I called them and they told me that my boots were in and the warranty attempt was declined. In frustration I called up the manufacturer to see what the complication was. It was brought to my knowledge that the boots were never sent back in the first place. When I told the customer service rep at la sportiva they were very sympathetic about my situation and told me to send back the boots myself. I express shipped them and my warranty was granted. I had a new pair of boots within a week. I will not be spending any more money at mountain trails.

Really disappointed. Have shopped here before and all was good however with our past experience there was a complete breakdown in communication. Was told we would be able to get a map with no problem since they had been ordered 2 weeks ago. Never heard back so I called back and was assured we would get a call back. Never heard back but called on their next business day and was informed they had our map. Was all excited and releaved only to arrive and it was not the correct item. No time to order and receive it before our trip. Giving them 3 stars based on previous experience. Love supporting hometown business but cases like this makes me wish I would have just ordered from Amazon.

A small town secret for everything outdoors. They have a great selection and wonderful staff. Though I dont go home much (I grew up in Winchester), this is definitely someplace that I always stop by and have a look around when Im in town.

What to say the customer service was excellent I received a free pair of hiking socks just out of the blue very nice and I had a problem with a price and they fix it and gave me 2 free the owner was very pleasant and I will go back again
