Heres a fathers prospective: if your child or grandchild is curious about building robots or wants to learn to solder, this is a store for you, because it is not the same as what RadioShack used to be. This store is where robot-building and do-it-yourself communitys heartbeat is in Williamsburg. Great selection of electronic components, tools, materials, robotic kits, etc. and, in addition, people who know and like electronics and are ready to help you with your needs. I put together a great electricity&magnetism demo for my kids elementary school class using lots of materials I bought in this store. Great service, highly recommended!

Found our way here for the free electronics class on Saturday morning and we had a fantastic time! Kids learned to solder and made their first project on day one. There was so much going on and it opened up their imaginations... building drones and game stations and making arduino projects. We even ran into a classmate from elementary school and now theyll be building projects together through the summer. Cant wait for our next visit! Thoroughly recommend stopping by for one their Saturday classes! :)

I love this particular Radio Shack. The owner, Craig, is extremely generous with his time if you have a problem. Hes a born problem solver. He recently spent a lot of time sorting out a my electric scooter batteries malfunction, even though it did not result in my making a purchase from him at the time, because he fixed the underlying cause. I consider him a Williamsburg Treasure. And this is not the first time that either Craig or one of his staff has come to my rescue.

I make an effort to stop here almost everytime I pass through Williamsburg. Great selection of products, very knowledgeable staff and very good prices. The spirit of Radio Shack (Back when Radio Shack had a soul and was a great place to shop.) lives on at Gizmos. Gizmos location on Richmond road puts them in better view of the tourist traffic. I wouldnt be surprised if it becomes a must stop location for the tech minded tourist in Williamsburg.

I feel the sales person could had been more knowledgeable about the electrical component products. I was also disappointed that they didnt carry name brand micro-controllers. The one I purchased was a clone of the Arduino and it has poor solder joints. A plus to the business is the fact that they have a small selection of training demonstrations. Its a good business that I would like to see grow.

Stopped into the store today to find a solution for listening to music in my older car with an old tape player stereo. Craig was extremely helpful and let me try out a couple of options with my phone before I committed to a purchase. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences Ive had in a long time, thank you!

This store specifically is nice and clean, but wow I cant believe you would even consider going here. Buy whatever you need off Amazon and pay 1/5 the price you would pay here.
