I visited in the summer of 2015. Very unusual vibe. The interior is modern and beautiful, with plenty of open space and natural light. From the design, the developer is clearly aiming for a high end shopping experience. On the other hand, the mall is filled with stores that cater to a middle class crowd, particularly teens with limited buying power - American Eagle Outfitters, Footlocker, Express, etc. I wonder if theyre legacy stores from before the mall was remodeled. As I type this, sitting in the generous central hall, with its elevated ceiling and wood-panels-covered pillars, a group of teenagers set up camp at a table nearby to fiddle with their RC cars. A couple of old ladies in worn dresses chatted amicably beside an abstract looking tree. This place has the vibe of an 80s mall in a sleepy mid-western town, but it just doesnt look the part. Im going to see if I can talk the teens into letting me play with their toys. Never mind, the security guard is asking them to stop with the shenanigans. Theyll be back. I hope it works out for the developer. There are still plenty of retail spaces left. With the right mix of stores, the mall can provide the locals with a very pleasant shopping experience. For the time being, feel free to visit and wonder what could be.

The mall was renovated a few years ago and looks nice, but the management isnt the best at keeping up with it. Often there are trash cans that need to be emptied and floors need to be swept in the middle of the day. Then between the little coin operated rides for kids, renting animal shaped bikes to ride around the mall, and the train driving through the hall, there is always something to crash into and it feels more like a carnaval then a Shopping mall. Also bring the place down is all the empty shopping carts that are scattered around the property. The malls exterior and surrounding buildings need a little fixing up still. My last con isnt so much the malls fault, but its the cliental. Not that I would say the mall is unsafe, but there can be teenagers or others causing trouble some nights. Ive seen a night or two where security was working hard to break up a fight and kicking people out. Its like the mall wants to be like that of Tysons Corner Center, but just isnt on that level. My pro is there are some nice stores and restaurants, Yard House is my favorite. Also I grew up in the area and remember the mall before the renovation and it has gotten better.

We really appreciated the Town Centers renovation, which brought the old Springfield Mall back from the dead. It has most things you expect in a Mall, with a clean and fresh feel. Great -- The Regal Cinema, Dicks Sporting Goods, covered parking, great restaurants, and new Amazon drop boxes are highlights. Location just off the Freeway. Free Metro parking. Fine -- JC Pennys and (surprisingly) Target are holdovers. Both are important Mall anchors here, but need renovations as they feel very dated. Concerns -- There are a few vacant store fronts. Very concerned about long term vision as they are opening a dime store (actually a $5 Below). Could Use -- A few higher end boutiques, a Barnes and Noble, the Amazons new store, shuttle to/from metro, and an App to help navigate the "mall" and search the Town Centers stores.

The fact that so much money was put into a mall renovation nowadays was surprising to say the least, but from my perspective it was really worth it. I remember the old Springfield Mall--dark and rundown, not a place to spend time,--but the renovations changed all of that. It is bright, welcoming, and a place that invites people to linger. Sometimes I run in on a quick errand and right back out again, but most of the time, I end up staying, wandering, maybe even (gasp!) buying something. It reminds me of the 80s when the mall was a destination, which I am sure was the point. If you want people to spend money, they have to want to spend time there first. Well played, Springfield Town Center, well played.

The designers really put some thought into the layout of the mall. I like how all the childrens stores are clustered around the indoor playground. The food court has opened up some new options (Turtleback Bistro, Charleys grilled subs) and the restaurant selection is outstanding (we love the Yard House). My only complaint is that there arent very many high end womens clothing stores, but its a good place to find a deal. Parking can be tight because its busy most of the time.

The new mall opened in about late 2015 and it was a good improvement but I still feel this mall has issues. I think the food court could use something like a Chick-fil-a. The mall is usually somewhat clean. The stores are kinda small compared to other malls in the area. Some of the employees are nice, others are rude. The mall is ok but I would recommend you go to Fair Oaks or Potomac because those malls are lot better. Tysons has great stores but it gets overcrowded.

Had a great shopping trip, going to JCPenneys to look for some mens dress shirts. Much better than a couple of earlier trips to other nearby malls without a JCP anchor. JCP had a wide selection that was easy to look through. Much better than Macys or Nordstroms, which have been my go-to mens department stores in the past. Springfield Town Center has a nice looking set of other stores as well, and I plan to go there more often in the future.

Its really nice. Good food. Things for the children to do if you are in there too long. Nice shops. However, lately Im noticing trash overflowing and paper and trash in the walk ways by mid day it became an eye sore. I just hope they have enough or get the help in housekeeping to maintain its appearance.. Also the kids area is nice but not well monitored the children who are playing are larger and larger despite rules posted.

Formerly known as Springfield Mall, Springfield Town Center is a decent place to visit. There are some empty storefronts, but still enough stores to keep you interested in shopping here. There are also several places to grab a bite to eat. The Center has two parking garages in addition to a large parking lot that encompasses the entire complex. It is easy to get to off of I-95 at the Franconia/Springfield exit.

Five stars for giving its employees Easter off! This place is conveniently located, was given a great facelift with nice restaurants, and has some good stores. Theres plenty of parking and good security inside the mall; though there are a few dark spots in the parking lot where there is no surveillance. There are a couple of parking spots for expectant mothers near the entrance at Dicks and Macys (see photo).

Newly updated, the connected regal cinema has nice options such as a bar and full reclining leather seats. The mall features a decent food court with plenty of seating and the mall security is top notch. The family restroom by the food court is great for families with infants. Please do not use these bathrooms just for your convenience if you are a single person, families need it more. Dont be a tool.
