The quality of this store has noticeably diminished since its opening a few years ago. As a consumer, the quality of clothes they are accepting resembles something more like a goodwill and the prices do not reflect the items true worth. As a seller, I am extremely disappointed. I brought in a basket full of neatly folded designer and ready-to-wear clothes. It took over an hour for them to give me a price quote. There were only 2 people ahead of me with a few items. The employees seemed to be sitting around chatting and on their cell phones. Understandably, they did not accept some of the RTW items I had (ex: handbags, shirts, etc.) but I was surprised they did not take the other items I brought in (Lucky Brand Jeans only worn once, Gap only worn once or twice, Sak wallet, etc.). However, they did take some Forever 21 scarves, cheap American Eagle scarves, and a Target bag. Huh?? My only conclusion is that they could not afford to buy the higher priced items. Also, when I received my basket back the clothes were just thrown back in and not in the same condition as when I brought them in. I wont be buying or selling here again.

Clothes Mentor of Newport News is an absolute favorite store to shop. Not only can you sell those boots in your closet that you know you wont wear any more but also that expensive handbag that you dont use. The best part is after selling those items you can shop around and find something even better. My favorite purse and my favorite boots both came from Clothes Mentor. Their staff are so helpful and always ready to suggest something for you or help when you are looking for something specific. I love this store!!!

The absolute worst place to try to sell. I went in to resell a large amount of items that were bought there only a month ago. She offered $7.50 for BOTH of the 2 very nice dresses. Her reasoning was that the items arent brands or types of items that have been selling well, yet they were on the racks for $16 EACH only a month ago. Highly disappointed in their service as well as their products. Youre better off donating the clothing. I highly do not recommend buying or selling from here.

This was my first time selling and shopping in this store. I had heard about this store from a coworker as I asked her where she got all of her cute clothes from. It wasnt a bad experience at all. They took some items I turned in for buyback, but declined some but it was understandable based on whats selling and whats popular. I used that store credit from what I turned and got a cute blazer and some earrings. I will definitely go back .. its a cute shop.

Took them an hour to give me a quote, when I went back was told they couldnt purchase my clothes. Lifted the top off of the bin I brought in, the top layer had barely been disturbed, which tells me they didnt even bother looking at the entire contents of what I gave them. It was a total waste of my time, I will NOT be rerurning to neither sell nor purchase from them.

Love your store and the staff is awesome always eager to help. My number one spot for retail therapy after work. If you have not experienced this place you definitely need to check them out. I for one love you can make a little $$$ and shop while you wait.

Great place to shop. I took my daughter there and she found brand name tennis shoes that looked new. Bought two outfits and a pair of shoes for less than what the shoes cost new. Its our first and usually only stop anytime she needs clothes!

Horrible! I sold a phone case here and they did not take it. It was already in the package and everything I also had a whole Ben of clothes that I tried to sell there and they didnt except anything ! Horrible store

Took in clothing that was less than two years old, gently worn, name brands and came out with $13. Tags were still on most of the clothes. Yet, the staff did not accept the clothing.
