The most frustrating and demeaning checkout experience ever. Avoid this place! Went into this particular CVS this morning to purchase a skincare product by using a raincheck coupon for 20% off that a store manager had given me last October. Found the skincare product on the shelf and saw the price listed was roughly $8 more than most other stores down in Richmond like Target, Walmart, etc. Walked up to the counter to check out and the sales clerk balks at accepting the raincheck, telling me twice it was not signed (it had initials on it instead) and that I should have made sure that somebody signed it properly. I told him the store manager gave it to me so she should be held responsible for making sure it was filled out properly, not her customers. He then tells me it looks like somebody in the back filled it out and asked if it was for a flu shot. I told him it was for a discount associated with a flu shot. He tells me he will honor the discount, but when he starts ringing up the sale he tells me he cannot honor it after all, that there was a sign up on the door that is now taken down about it. I told hom I am not going to pay full price for the item. He responded that It is on sale for a price that was still more than 20% off. Angry at being treated as if I were trying to pass a fake raincheck issued to me by their own store or that I was somehow responsible for not having it signed properly if it were in fact a real raincheck, and frustrated at not being able to cash their raincheck with no expiration date and no restrictions listed on it, plus having to pay more for the product, I told him to forget about it I am not purchasing the product then walked out the door leaving the raincheck behind with him determined to never shop there again. Went over to Food Lion and found the skincare product there for less than the CVS sale price. Sales clerk was very nice and friendly as I purchased the product. Thank goodness there are other friendly and respectful stores in the area for the purchasing items that CVS stocks!
