I really dont know where to start. I was an employee from September 2016 until yesterday August 2017. I started off in a seasonal position in the middle of the busy end of year holidays and really enjoyed working for the Target corporation. Before the holidays were even over I was offered to stay on board with Target. Again I was really pleased to be working for what I thought was one of the best corporations out there. However it didnt last long. I worked in the Market department. Ive worked with food pretty much since I was able to obtain a workers permit. Fifteen years later I thought I had seen it all but this Target really showed me that I hadnt. You see there are guidelines and procedures you follow when it comes to food. Chantilly Target let me learn you a little something... Food safety is a scientific discipline describing handling, preparation, and storage of food in ways that prevent food borne illness. This includes a number of routines that should be followed to avoid potentially severe health hazards. These are things that you cannot cut corners on. You (Target) have no reason or excuse you are worth billions. Your staff should be trained properly. They should use and follow all of what they learn in their training. Your LODs and those in charge are the ones responsible for these issues. Most of the team members I worked with at this location pretty much knew the things they needed to know. They werent allowed to work the correct way. You get trucks in and straight to the floor they go to be put out on the shelves. Meanwhile you have food in all of the coolers in the back room that sit, go bad, expire and is wasted food and causing the store to miss out on those sales that are so very important. Then 9 times out of 10 its going from the backroom coolers to the sales floor with either a very short shelf life or even worse already expired. You (Target) do not have the "freshness Friday," that Ive heard is supposed to take place regularly. Worked there almost a year and I think I may have only participated in maybe 4 or 5. As I told Jodi the supervisor someone with an executive title, this Target has no right no business having a grocery department. If you chose to continue to shop at your local Chantilly Target for your familys breakfast lunch and dinner needs, please pay close attention to the quality of the food, check the expiration dates and know that most of what is put out sits for a lot longer that the allotted 30 mins before it is put on the floor or back in the coolers/ freezers. With that being said I want to do what I promised so many of those still working at this location and so many great employees that I have watched leave over the past year. I would like to let the world know about the supervisor the one I spoke about with the executive title. Her name is Jodi. She stands maybe 5 3 maybe weighs in at 130 pounds has hair the color of Santa and eyes the color of Satan. I have seen this lady totally rip someone in pieces with her words. Both employees and guest in the store. She has no respect for the minorities. She treats them as if they are nothing. Belittles them. Attempts to make them feel as if they are nothing. If you stand up to her or for yourself she has been known to take hours away. There are so many people that are working for this store that are unhappy because of this one person alone. They feel as if nothing can be done about the unfair environment they work in. If you ask her a question and she feels its stupid or she just doesnt want to be bothered you either get snapped at (verbal abuse) or completely ignored. Either way its coming with an unnecessary mean and nasty attitude. I am really baffled by the fact that she is still employed by Target with her attitude and the way she runs the Market department. Target this woman is giving you a bad rep. if your guest dont see it trust that your employees do.

Not only was the store dirty and the employees looked half dead but I was purchasing hangers. A bunch. I went to check out and there was this Indian guy (nothing against his nationality because theres another Indian man who is AWESOME!) Anyway, the man withOUT the white hair, he gave me attitude when I didnt want to open a target card. Never happened before. Usually they just move along. THEN, I went to grab my hangers and he didnt put them in a bag. I asked, "Sorry but do I get a bag?" He handed my the targe basket implying to move along. Hangers, folks! A bunch! So, I ask again and he snaps, "if you want a bag Ill get you a bag, do you want a bag?!" At that point, not worth my time. Never going back. If you must go to this locatio , go to the Indian man with the really white hair. Hes sweet and good at his job. The other, well, many people have had bad experiences with him.

Worst target Ive been to by far. Save yourself sometime and go to the fair oaks location, rude employees, bad customer service, very unorganized, especially infant and toddler section had clothes thrown everywhere and stocked randomly no age coordination, was very frustrating looking for what I needed. When asking the manager on duty for help, today, he greeted me with a "wassup" uninterested approach! And did not answer my question or was much help in the end, "he just didnt know sorry" (young white male, forgot name) the younger employees were all on their cellphones and were no help and uninterested as well, this target does not care about their customers experience, target please better your staff! :(

If youre looking to refill a SodaStream canisters this is NOT the place to go. The first time I tried, they sold me empty canisters (which I accepted, not knowing that they must be sealed with blue plastic to be legit). This last time, the customer service rep said she was out, but then had to contact multiple areas of the store to figure out if that was true. Otherwise, its a big enough store, with a good enough selection, but Id consider trying a different location.

I drove out here after looking online to see if a product was available. The site said that there was "Limited Quantity" and that you had to come to the store to get it. I was not pleased with the customer service. I was passed off to three or two different people and they told me the product was sold out. I just felt like their customer service and social skills were terrible and the attitude thats j got from the lady was terrible.

This target is probably one of the better within the norther VA area north of Fredricksburg. The only downside Ive noticed is staff tend to be slow at checkout. When browsing the shelves I noted multiple mistocked items, labels missing from shelves, and general merchandise having scratches, or glue that has come undone. Dont buy homegoods from target folks spend the extra at another store.

This Target is convenient to get to. The store have been quite neat for pretty all the time I visited. Staff have been friendly. It is in the same plaza where most of my needs can be done during one trip -- costco, office depot, 7-11 with gas pumps, credit union (with sharing brunch feature), wells faro, fast-food chain restaurants, and a decent mid-scale bbq place.
