The cords were showing on my front two tires, and I had run over a screw so I was shopping for two tires for my SUV and went to Discount Tires because they had the best price on the size. I was greeted warmly and I told the technician my needs (two new front tires and a rotation). He took his pad and went and inspected the current tires. When he came back in he asked if the vehicle was rear or all wheel drive. I told him it was a rear wheel drive with four-wheel drive. He told me that it would ruin my transmission if I only replaced two tires, and that he WOULD NOT do it because it would be unsafe. I argued that I had done it before with no issues, but he would not relent. He tried to make me a "deal" on the four tires, telling me he would "trade in" my other tires even though the tread was so bad that they werent worth anything. And offering to make payment arrangements. Finally I took him to the car and showed him that I mostly drove it in two wheel drive explaining that I only put it into four-wheel drive in the snow. He finally relented and told me if I promised to only drive it in two wheel drive then he would replace just the two as I had originally asked. Feeling very uncomfortable with the scare tactics, and high pressure sales I took my key and went to another tire dealer who matched the price, told me the other two tires were in good condition (easily worth trade in), and that there was no issue with replacing just the two tires I needed. **Follow up** After I complained online through their corporate website I got a call from the local store manager who apologized and arranged for me to come back in (with my other car since I had already bough tires for the car in question) and offered me four free tires so I would give them a second chance. I went in on the weekend and they put on the new tires which are very nice. The downside... the assistant manger tried to sell me the extended service plan, which I turned down and he snidely asked, "What you dont like free tires?" So while they did their best to make up for the first incident, and I appreciate the quality of the new tires, I was still left with a bad impression.

I bought tires from Discount Tires about a year ago. I went into the Taylorsville to get my tires rotated because my fronts are about 25-25% tread and my back tires are probably close to 75%. After looking over my tires they told me that I need to buy two new tires to make the tread similar and I could trade in the other two. I told them that I just wanted to rotate the tires so I can wear down the back tires and then I would buy 4 new ones next year. We went back inside and the sales person said he had to speak with his manager. He came back and informed me that they could not rotate my tires because it would be a safety issue. I would agree if my tires were bald and wires were showing through but they were just trying to push me into buying 2 more tires. I emailed corporate about this issue and they referred me to a video that shows two different cars. One has low tread on the back tires and the other has low tread on the front tires. Both cars go around a corner with water on the road. The car that has low tread tires on the back spins out while the other drives through the corner. I asked if they had reference to what condition the tires are in and they didnt have any. I am guessing they were completely bald by the way the car reacted around the corner. Discount tires is only worried about making a sell, they will do anything to scare you into buying tires. I will take my business somewhere else and will recommend people to go somewhere besides Discount Tires. One more comment, it would mean a lot more if the manager took time to come out and explain why he recommended his sales person to inform me that they couldnt rotate the tires. It might seem more like a concern than a sales tactic.

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! We brought in our truck while we were on vacation and told them we had a tire that was loosing air. Spent an hour waiting and then another 1/2 hour or so for the guy to supposedly look at it. He then proceeded to tell us that he couldnt find anything wrong with the tire. Seriously? I then asked him what we were supposed to do just keep filling it up every time it got low on air (in 0 - 7 degree weather). He just shrugged his shoulders. I then asked him what will they do when we came back because it was still leaking. He simply shrugged again and told me "well see at that time." Well, it kept leaking and then finally BLEW while my son was airing it up!!!! Yes it blew up on him. Not only scarey but very dangerous. They obviously dont know what theyre doing and someday it may cost someone their life!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!

I first came to this shop after finding a good deal online on tires for routine replacement. They got me in at my scheduled time, gave me an accurate estimate on the time for completion, and were courteous every step of the way. What has really impressed me though, has been my experience since the initial sale. I have returned a few times for leaks due to road hazards. They expertly repaired the ones I knew about, thoroughly checked all the tires, including dunk tests (finding 16 nails and screws on one occasion), and rebalanced them. All this with a smile, a thank you, and no charge. Granted I did get the road hazard coverage, but I have had that at other tire shops over the years and never received this level of service.

Very good experience. I went on Monday to change the 2 rear tires of my little car, and they told me about the special deal I could get if I changed the 4 of them. I rejected the deal because the front tires where still in good shape, but because I needed 4 new tires on my minivan, I went back today and got a special discount ($100 rebate gift card). Fast service and wonderful way of dealing with the client. The reason I said VERY GOOD rather than EXCELLENT is because they were trying to sell to me a more expensive and wider kind of tires than what I needed. Other than that, these guys just earned a client.

Amazing service! I am visiting from Washington and its time for me to head back and I needed one new tire and they checked all of them and told me I needed 2 new ones but considering I have to have money for gas they were so kind about it because they didnt want "anything to happen on my way back" and installed both of the new tires and didnt charge me an installation fee! was out in 15 minutes. Definitely would recommend going here. The costumer service was so amazing I will be going to the one here in Washington from now on and hope to get the same service!
