It had to have been the worst experience of my life!!! I am a native houstonian and I decided to take a weekend trip to visit my family in San Antonio. My mother, my three sisters, and myself decided to make a day a shopping the plan for the day. We went to this location and we were looking around I was enthusiastic about all the vintage cars and all the other nick nacks. I have to say the ladies on the sales floor were so helpful; however the older security guard was so rude to my family and I. We were sitting down drinking a soda, eating the fresh popcorn, and enjoying the cookies the ladies had offered to us while our mother finished making her shoe selection. The security guard passed by and I said hello and he rolled his eyes at me, I thought maybe he didnt hear me, he passed by again and had an even uglier look on his face. I told my sisters that he looked upset and we didnt think anything of it he then kept passing by as if we were about to steal something or we were being a disturbance; mind you Im a full time law student, my sister is an officer for the city, my other sister is a nurse, my other sister is a corrections officer, and our mother is 69 years old clearly we know how to behave and we werent a threat at all! He mustve passed by us at least 7 times when my mom came back I asked her if she found her shoes and she said yes we were standing there talking and we were asking her if she wanted the shoes and she said yes, he rudely interrupted us and asked if we needed help, but he had such a nasty attitude as if we were being a nuisance and he was just trying to get rid of us. My family and I decided to walk out and not purchase anything else we spoke to the manager who apologized but the experience was horrible we felt humiliated and discriminated against. We were paying customers enjoying a Friday, I was sight seeing, and my mom was shopping and he went to work with a bad attitude I truly never want to go back to that place again, that was the first and the last time I will ever go.

Its funny in a sad way that were here shopping spending our hard earned money to support a local business, when we could easily go to a chain store, and are treated so rude and disgusting...and then come to find out in the end that the lady who treated us disrespectful is THE DAMN MANAGER of the place, just wow....been coming here since we were little and now all of a sudden were treated bad bc the color of our skin is different than the other people shopping here...

While shopping with the family i really liked the old fashion setting of the store there was popcorn and homemade icecream for under 25c and old fashion cars on display in the parking lot.

Before shopping at SAS I had problems finding shoes my size. Now I am a SAS kid: walk in the store in old SAS shoes and out with new SAS shoes.
