Im only sorry that I cant give them less than one star. This Walmart store is probably the worst I’ve ever seen. They have a store manager who is never there, but, he obviously has some “connections” to the corporate office because when I’ve called the corporate office in Bentonville, Arkansas to complain, THEY DON’T CARE! I don’t believe I’ve ever had a pleasant experience in this store. However, I have had my LAST experience in this store or any other Walmart store or affiliate. Today, I went in to purchase a few items and proceeded to the self-checkout lane to pay. The self-checkout lane has two sides (each containing 4 or 5 registers). I scanned all of my items and then inserted my credit card into the “chip reader” to finish the transaction. The purchase never completed. After several minutes of waiting, the young man who was administering the self-checkouts today came over and informed me that I was in a “cash only” lane. I pointed out to him that the screen on the self-checkout register had the option of “Credit.” He again advised that I would have to check out on the opposite lane. I looked at the signage above the checkout lanes. The sign indicated that my lane accepted “All Forms of Payment” and that the opposite lane accepted “Credit and Debit only.” I advised that young man that his own signage stated that my lane should have accepted my credit card (and it always has in the past). I then asked for a manager, to which he replied that I could just go ahead and check myself out in the opposite lane. I again asked for a manager and he stood there with no response. I walked away (leaving my groceries behind) and found another employee and asked for a manager. She informed me that she had just seen two managers in the jewelry department. At that point, I walked out of the store and as I said in my first paragraph, I will NEVER AGAIN return to any Walmart store or Walmart affiliate.

This is our go to walmart and we actually live closer to the Garland Location. Normally we dont have any problems, but today was not as nice. My husband (26 years old) was """purchasing""" a 4 pack of wine coolers. We had one customer in line in front of us and the cashier asked for both of our IDs. Well I dont have mine, but I am not the one purchasing. My husband pulled out his drivers license for her and she kept calling her boss over and they debated on selling these to my husband... Then when she finally accepted his drivers license, she walked off to her boss again and debated once more about selling it to him. She comes back and finally accepts it and reminds him of the signs they have on their registers. Which states "Anyone **purchasing** alcohol that looks under the age of 40 will be carded." My husband just said "I know". My husband gave you his Drivers License, he is purchasing!!! Are you saying if someday my husband and I decide to buy a bottle of wine and we have our kid with us, does this apply to them? They are under 40 and not purchasing? This makes no sense. We will not be buying our beverages from walmart anymore.

Wow. Unbelievable. My wife and I purchased a Graco Nautilus car seat from the Lakeview Parkway Wal-Mart last night. We waited until this evening to put it together and install the seat in our vehicle only to find that the child seat was a returned item - the padding was soiled and stained, the upper harness belts missing, no manual, and the back and seat covered in food crumbs. When I called it was apparent that management could not care less as evidenced by the generous offer of, "bring it back with the receipt and well exchange it (judging by the tone, it was more like "hurry up and let me get off the phone ASAP"). Once we arrived at the store, the Customer Service department let it be known that they were doing us a favor by being there; if their attitude were any worse, Id have sworn they were all either postal workers or former DMV employees. So, we returned the pile of garbage back to Wal-Mart, declined the offer to exchange, put the return back on our credit card, went to the Super Target in Rowlett, and paid $10.00 less on the same item.

First and last time trying the grocery pick up option. Used the app the day before and set my slot time. Checked in with the app and drove to the store. Pulled into 1 of 2 open slots out of 10. About 10 minutes after pulling in a few people started getting out of their vehicles to discuss how long they had been waiting; most had been waiting about an hour, except for one lady who had spent an hour and half in the parking lot waiting on her order. Soon after an Assistant Manager came out, and told them if they didnt like the wait time they could call the 800 number on the confirmation email and cancel their order. I waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes, watched 2 orders come out, and 3 people drive away with no groceries before I called and cancelled my order. Amazon Prime doesnt deliver to Rowlett yet, but they do deliver to my work address and Ill try that next. Wal-Mart has a great concept but the Rowlett store had a bad execution on this Sunday evening.

I have been going to this Walmart since it opened. I must be really easy to please, because I kinda thought it was one of the best Walmarts I have been to regarding lines. Never had any problems - not sure what the negativity is about. I only saw the reviews because I was looking up the phone number to ask how late the auto area was open. They said 7pm. The phone did ring at least 7 times before they answered, but I did not take it personally. We have taken our car there before for a battery, and we did not even know it was still on warranty. I thought that was cool, because we got the new one prorated, they put stickers with dates on the batteries. Anyway, on my way there now, guess I will have to try and see what these other three people were talking about - I have only been going there for about 10 years, so maybe I should give it a little more time to figure it out.

Tried to pick up STS 1 hour order that we received emails was ready. To my surprise they were not ready and the .com people cared less. As she wrote my name on a piece of receipt paper to never call. Tried to call the store 3 times the same evening to speak to a mgr starting at 5:15pm to resolve issue. Waited on hold for total time of 20 minutes and noone would ever pick the phone back up including the associate answering the line. Wife called and spoke to the .com associate and she blew her off. She aid managements in meeting and I cannot get anyone to open the trailer and maybe thats where your order is. Failed Customer Service all the way around. To get the issue resolved wife called the store the next morning and had a Shift Manager find her order. Ridiculous!!! Kicker is Wife retired from Walmart in 2014 after 18 years of service.
