WORST experience ever. They had our car for over 3 weeks, charged us to fix things that they broke, and the lack of communication was horrible. We spent a lot of time calling and waiting for a phone call from Jason that would never come. Not to mention that someone put their elbow through the vent and cracked the dash of my daughter car, but didnt bother to let us know about it. My recommendation is to drive fast to any ANY other repair. shop. Ken, Truth of the matter is you are only going off what your employees tell you what happened. I will restate again that at no time did my husband ever tell you NOT to get a reconditioned steering column and to only put in "junk yard column." Especially know our daughter is going to be driving this car to and from college and would not what to put her in a situation that was not safe. As far as me not being in the loop I think you are the one who is being mislead. When I was in the office "raising cane" you had no clue what was evening going on. Sorry if you cant handle me being angry that my daughter drove into town to pick up a car that was suppose to be finished at 4 pm and wasnt only to pay and have her wait for her car. Only to get a frantic phone call to come get her. When I got there you had closed shop for the day. My "raising cane" was out of frustration of the fact my daughters car that was suppose to be finished was sitting in the parking lot, NOT being worked on. And the tail light issue (the blinker came on when you stepped on the brake) wasnt an issue before your technician touched the car. Im finished. I realize you need to try to keep a good reputation on google and yelp. You can spin what happened however you want, "out of the loop" wife, cheap husband who doesnt want to put money in a car. Doesnt matter at the end of the day we know what happened, so does Jason. You, Im not so sure if you know what happened or not, you had no clue what was happening when I came into your shop and as you put it "raised cane". Bottom line, you had the car for a month, there was very very poor communication (sorry but when someone tells you they will call you back they should call you back), we tried to pick up the car not once but twice and had to leave it because dang it the blinker was still coming on when you stepped on the brake. One final thing my husband is a nice guy, but dont under-estimate him, he may not be yelling in your lobby but he is just an frustrated and angry about what happened with this entire situation. Implying that he is cheap, well that doesnt sit well with me or him.

Am local Heath resident and went on suggestion of a friend and was terribly disappointed. First visit was for routine oil change and next day low oil indicator came on...i brought vehicle back and was told the oil sensor needed replacement but also that the oil was only half filled! What was the point of the oil change?!?!? Had the oil filled appropriately and low and behold the low oil light has not been on since, so obviously the sensor was always functional. Chalked that experience to bad luck and returned with same vehicle with check engine light on and was diagnosed with a bad fuel pump sensor that needed to be changed...deja vu! They replaced it at cost of $450 and next day i hear rattling from engine, open hood and find a host of loose pieces as well as front grill not completely attached! Took pictures and called and left detailed message without a courtesy call back. I will never return to Horizon and would never recommend anyone to them. We have 4 vehicles and bring this one vehicle because it is a 2005 vehicle not ever really trusting them with our other ones and with good reason. ...this is a legitimate review and I am writing this in reply to Ken. I dont know what records you checked but perhaps you can check under fuel pump sensor replacement and 2005 Volvo XC90. I did call on two separate occasions and left voice mails which were never returned. Your technician failed to fill our oil for the first visit and tried to sell us on buying a new oil sensor which he diagnosed as the problem, even after telling me the oil was only half full after a routine oil change! The second visit consisted of increased labor to get to the fuel pump sensor to replace it but i find afterwards that the parts were hastily and very sloppy and i have photos as proof. So please do not pass the poor service on what you perceive as the customer being difficult or that this review was meant for another service center or that there was no validity. You should take a closer look at your employees and maybe manage it better.

Took our Minivan to this mechanic which we had experience with before on a couple of occasions. They gave a better price to repair an oil leak than a prior diagnostic check at another shop. We had this shop do the job and a few days later, it continued to leak. I asked them to re-evaluate the issue and they concluded a diffrent part needed replacing, so we paid for that and to clean the oil mess. The third time, it leaked again, we called the shop advised them we werent going to pay anymore for the same issue given they had enough opportunities to fix the problem, and we had been inconvenienced enough as it is. Well they called back and said the part they replaced previously was defective and needed replacing and there was no cost to us since it had a warranty. After this visit , guess what?, the oil leak continued. We called the shop and expressed disappointment and their response was, bring it in again! No apologies, no validation of our inconvenience, just simply bring it in and well look at it!? We told them we would come in the next day, but after thinking about further, we lost confidence in this shop and just decided not to throw away anymore money after 3 diffrent visits. I filed a complaint with the BBB and now the owner says he wants to help us. If youre serious about maintaining your customers, you have to find out why a vehicle leaves your shop for a repair keeps coming back for the same problem before a complaint is filed, not after. Although we didnt return for the fourth time, they shouldve been concerned about the issue then and folllowed through with us to see why we didnt come in and or If the problem continued, unfortunately we got nothing.

Things started off okay with horizon when I first moved to Rockwall. They did a few oil changes had the tires rotated. The first problem was when my daughters car wouldnt start. They recommended a fuel pump and we paid to have it done. It wouldnt start to even leave the parking lot of the establishment. They tinkered with it for an hour while my wife and toddler waited. The next day the car failed to start again. We were told that a "secondary" filter needed to be replace and they had forgotten to do it. $1200 and you cant replace all the relevant parts? Oh well, I told myself it was just one bad experience. On my own car I had a refrigerant leak in my AC last summer and they told me it was too small to locate. Flash forward to this summer and of course the AC is blowing cool but not cold. I took the car back and they worked on it for the afternoon. Turns out according to horizon my compressor was bad and Id need to replace it at a cost of $2k. Well I decided to get a second opinion, they returned the car devoid of coolant so that my car which was mildly uncomfortable when I brought it in was now unbearably hot. Took it to the dealership and guess what? Compressor is fine just a small leak in a hose. Total cost to repair a fraction what horizon wanted. These guys want your money and thats it.
