Waisted a month of my time. Lied to me. First off they charged me close to 150 dollars more than what I was quoted when I checked out online. I was ok with that because the glasses were really cool. Then it took over a week to ship out my try before you buy pair. After sending them back I talked to Julie and gave her my PD measurement. Then I was sent an email days later asking for my PD measument. I was ok with that because no one is perfect and it was late on a Friday when we talked on the phone. I was told 2 weeks to get the glasses. After 2 weeks I emailed for a status update. No reply. I then called and Julie told me that they would arrive at ADS in one day then ship out. So after waiting 5 more business days I emailed Julie again for an update. Again no reply. I called and talked to someone different and after putting me on hold she told me that the frames are discontinued and that Julie talked with me on the phone that morning and sent an email. We did not talk on tje phone. That was a blatant lie as was the fact that they were to arrive a day later. Frames are still available online from oakley. At the very least the lenses should have been ready. ADS is incompetent and untrustworthy. Im glad theyre not getting my $700.00. FU.

Surprised to discover this store in the area so I stopped by (June 2015). Friendly and courteous staff who were most helpful finding the right frames and adjusting prescription to my activity needs. They offer a free 10-day loan of eye wear (without prescription) you will be out just postage when returned. I am trying out a pair right now (see photo). Check their website for details. They have an extensive selection of frames outdoor/sporting activities including swim googles. They do most of their business online but if the store is any indication I am sure the online stuff is great as well. Update: After the free loan period I ordered a pair which came in about 10 days. Looking forward to trying them out in my sport of choice. I decided on the pair worn in the first photo. You gotta look cool...even in prescription glasses. UPDATE Sep 2016. The glasses have been a great success in the last year. They have really made the difference in seeing what I have to see clearly. If corrected vision is important to you in whatever activities you enjoy spend the $$$ and get a pair. I gave them another star in the ratings.

I looked for many months for a company that could make custom prescription swim goggles, and I finally found ADS Sports Eyewear. Dave answered all my questions, and made me feel like I was his most important customer. I use my prescription swim goggles for triathlon races -- I can see the buoys much better now and can stay on course which makes my overall swim time faster. The staff at ADS are always friendly and helpful. I had such a good experience with the purchase of my goggles, I bought my next pair of prescription sport sunglasses from them too. Sharon spent a lot of time with me finding just the right frames, and Dave explained the new "digital lens" technology which makes my vision clear even on the sides of my wrap-around-style sunglasses. I use them for the biking and running portions of my triathlon races. Im all set, and couldnt be happier. Thank you ADS Sports Eyewear!

A couple of years ago I finallly got fed up with cheap convenience store sunglasses, and went looking for a pair of good quality, polarized-lens sports sunglasses. I stumbled onto the ADS Eyewear website, and found it had the most helpful information on lense types, materials, polarization, etc. I chose a brand & model, ordered a pair from them, and was very satisfied with their prices and service, but especially with their thorough and very helpful online information resources. Im getting ready to order another set of lenses from them, for my sunglasses which have interchangeable lenses, along with another bottle of lens cleaner. ADS is right up there with the very best of all online sellers Ive done business with. They are my default source for glasses.

Dave and his staff are the best. When I started looking for the best possible progressive lenses for road biking (I hate polycarbonate lenses), they had the answer. In fact ADS works with lens materials that my local eye care office has never heard of. The frames I wanted werent on their website, so they put them while I was on the phone with them - excellent service. Then they patiently answered all my questions, walked me through the ordering process and made it easy for me. I live in Iowa, which is a long way from Texas, but my experience was so good, I will consider buying my everyday glasses from them as well. It doesnt take any longer than ordering through my local eye care office. It is a pleasure working with them.

I have always been hesitant of ordering anything online. I have a pretty strong prescription so I always like to have a hands on approach when it comes to my eye wear. I searched all over the internet and many places seemed right, but too many had bad reviews with no response form the company. ADS responded to most if not all negative and positive reviews which put me at ease. Again, still hesitant about ordering online, I found the Smith Turbo Phenom goggles and purchased the prescription insert as well. The next day I got a call from Julia and she was so accommodating and attentive to my order. After I got my order Dave even called me to ensure I was happy. I will be coming back for any of my glasses needs.

I would use the term under promise over deliver, but honestly they promised pretty lofty and wayyyyyy over delivered! These guys are easy to work with, care, and keep you up to date. I ordered a pair of oakley racing jackets and asked if I could place the order despite the glasses being on back order. I needed to spend some FSA money before I lost it. Not only did they put the order in and keep me up to date, but they gave me realistic deadlines they still managed to beat! Granted much could be said that it was Oakley who got the glasses done ahead of schedule, still the employees were honest with me the whole time and I never felt out of the loop. Taylor was great!

I have dry eye syndrome and needed a pair of protective eyewear that did not look like goggles, but still had the foam liner. I could not find anything in my area. After searching online I found ADS and ordered a pair of Wiley X frames. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The insert was not fitting correctly so I called ADS and they immediately sent a replacement. They also included the special instructions for making the lenses, since I wanted them to be made here. In the future I will have ADS make the lenses also. Excellant service.

I had a hard time finding a local place that had a good selection of sunglasses. Luckily I found ADS and their service and selection cant be beat. The try before you buy service is awesome! I cant wear contacts so my sunglasses have to be prescription and ADS carries the best. I love the Wiley Xs and Kaenons that Ive gotten from them. Dave is super helpful and answers all your questions really quick. Getting ready to order a new pair after my next eye checkup. You only have one pair of eyes, put the best on them!
