I have used this store on several occasions, after purchasing my home and for minor painting projects since then. After this weeks experience I doubt I will ever return to this location. I visited this store yesterday evening with a nearly empty gallon of high gloss enamel paint from a competitor and told the woman behind the counter that I had been using the paint but was unhappy with the results. I simply asked her if she could match the color with something of a higher quality, perhaps with a lower sheen. She immediately recommended a particular SW paint and informed me that I would need to return the next day to pick it up. While she was entering the information on her computer, I casually asked if her recommended paint would adhere to the existing paint, since I was painting a significant amount of wainscoting and did not wish to scrap off the existing layers and start over. She stopped, and explained that it would not stick as I had been using an oil-based paint and her recommended replacement was a latex. I asked her to switch my order to an oil-based variety, which she grudgingly did. I returned tonight to pick up my custom paint, only to discover that she had entered the order for only ONE QUART, not a gallon. The gentleman that assisted me tonight quickly apologized and made up another three quarts, and adjusted the amount due to the one gallon I had asked for. I left the store with my four new cans and my nearly empty original can, feeling fairly happy with my purchase. However, after returning home and thinking about her statements from the night before, I looked closer at the old gallon...latex! I had now purchased four quarts of oil-based paint to paint a dining room when easy-to-use latex would have been just fine. I understand that I should have realized her mistake when ordering the paint last night; however, I am not a professional painter and I should have been able to rely on the advice of the people employed at this store to purchase the correct type of paint for my needs. I am now uncomfortable using oil-based paint to cover the baseboards around my tile flooring, and will need to purchase YET ANOTHER quart of latex paint to complete a rather simple project. I do not yet know where I will buy this last quart of paint, but I will be damned if it is at Sherwin-Williams.

Very unprofessional staff, we are professional painters and seem to always have issues with this specific store. Rude customer service, they do not listen to what the customer requests, they are so cocky and dont apologize for their mistakes. Never stepping foot in this location again. Had the manager Justin come out to a jobsite after we were given a bad batch of enamel, in front of the customer he was trying to clean his hands questioning our painting process. The customer came into our defense because she witnessed that every required step had been taken. Not once did he apologize for the inconvenience, he argued with our own customer, its not the first time they give us wrong product, they think they can take advantage of non English speakers. Absolutely awful! I wish I could put 0 stars!

I like many others am not a professional painter. We were undecisive on the color and had a few that were close. I picked one, only to get it home and use the brush only with the paint from the lid to paint a few spots and right away, I knew it was too light and not the color we wanted. I went back and bought the next color. At that point, Matt from Sherwinn Williams asked me how much I had used. I told him just a brush with paint from the lid. He told me he could turn that light color into the color I wanted for no charge. Great customer service in my book.
