Brought in an Rx for my son for a wheelchair. Tried to get help to get a certain brand / model and was told no way he would qualify. I asked what his doctor needed to write on an Rx in order for that to happen and was told he just wouldnt qualify. We let them process the Rx as is and were presented with a wheelchair. My son used it for one day and it was very substandard quality. There were bracket releases for the leg rests to swing out that were positioned on the inside of the frame....right where his legs rested. These brackets pushed in on his legs...plus the back rest frame pushed into his side. Took the wheelchair back and was told by Tim that he would research and we could get another chair. After a few days I called and nothing had been done.....with telling them that our insurance reset on June 1st and our deductable would reset also. I finally went in and told them dont bother and all I heard multiple times was "that wheelchair is fine for 99.9% of people. Well great....but it was totally uncomfortable for my son. I sat in it also and those brackets pressed in on my knees too. We have since gone to Tyler and NO PROBLEMS. They had the wheelchair we wanted and the person we are working with there talked with my sons doctor and she is writing the Rx in the correct way for him to get that chair. All it took was a little effort to get this done. Med Shop was not willing to make that effort.

I recently tried to get my mother a walker with wheels was told by the staff that all I need was a prescription from the doctor. After making several phone calls and inconviencing the medical staff as well as the physician I got the prescription, Took it to medical depot off loop 281 and was told with the severe lack of diplomacy that medicare would not cover anything for 5 years. If their employees would have been more informed it could have saved us a whole lot of time and aggravation and after explaining that to the employee all I got Was oh well instead of Im sorry you make the call. .

Customer service blows. Lady on the phone has a "thats not my job" attitude. Rude tone. Folks are sick, trying to get supplies that would help their quality of life and she sounds like she doesnt give a damn about anything but drinking lattes and collecting a paycheck. Id rather go without and be miserable than do business with someone like that. Maybe shed do better away from the public, stocking shelves or scraping gum off the floors. Just a thought.

This place is so horrible ...my mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer and was prescribed a standard motorized wheel chair and they would not assist her ... she has insurance that said they would pay 100% with all deductibles met and they were so rude... Do not send anybody to this place... even her Dr told her she should not go there bc they would not provide good service... i wish i could give this place a 0... they are so disrespectful

Got a power chair they said would be identical to the floor model so I had them file thru the insurance and order it...when it was delivered it was completely different. After a year the chair seat was cracked and coming apart, the foam arm rests was peeling, the control unit broke off and the chair was unusable. They also wanted me to pay $50 up front, outside my insurance, for a rollator.

My sister tried to get a wheelchair, she has terminal cancer and cant walk much, her insurance will pay 100% but this place denied a wheel chair. This is the sorriest place I know :-(
