Go in for a simple tire rotation on a set of Michelins. Have a slow leak on the front left tire. Ask them to check it out. Get the car back and back home end of day. Next morning front RIGHT tire is completely flat and has grease/gunk oozing from it. Jack the car up, inflate the tire and wonder what and where the grease/gunk came from. It was clean--no dirt or rubber residue or road grime on it, so that means it was fresh. I look at the passenger rear right side tire and it looks almost flat. I check the tire pressure. Its 14 pounds PSI. Should be 31 lbs PSI. I check the drivers side tires. Front tire is at 44 lbs PSI (should be 32), rear is 48 lbs PSI. Hmmm. Grossly UNDER-inflated tires on the side most people rarely look at (passenger), grossly OVER-inflated on the side most drivers give a cursory check to make sure tires look inflated (drivers side). Most drivers make far more right turns than left, under-inflated tires on passenger side will prematurely wear much quicker than those on the drivers side. You replace radial tires two at a time--two front/two back. Hmmm. Coincidence on the under-inflation/over-inflation and which sides? Dont think so. Check Consumer Affairs record of this same complaint from DT all over the country. Two days later, front right tire (not the one that had the slow leak) goes flat again. Take car back to Discount Tire/Lewisville where weve purchased tires for almost twenty years. They claim we had put Fix-A-Flat in the tire. Never. Ever. We buy premium Michelins for a reason and it is NOT to put a ten-dollar can of snake oil in a $150 tire that has an 80,000 mile warranty. They show us "build up" and gunk from the alleged additive and quite naturally were told well need new wheels. (Another common theme in the national complaints as of late against DT). Passenger side tires are now ruined due to the under-inflation. Barely have 20K miles on them and we argue for new tires. Bear in mind wed gone in for a simple rotation and with zero problems with these tires (or their predecessors) for the entire history of the car. DT installs the new tires on the rear and moves the just-rotated tires back to the front. Problem: Front wheel drive car. You put your best/newest tires where the primary traction is. Any idiot (except for DT) knows and does this. Second problem--wed gone in for a tire ROTATION, so why put the older tires from the front BACK ON THE FRONT AGAIN? DT said it was "company policy" to put new tires on the rear. Our "family policy" says Discount Tire, once a reputable and honest company, can no longer be trusted. Only thing between you and the road is the quality of tire and brakes you have and how much you can trust the people who install them. Discount Tire in Lewisville can simply no longer be trusted. Will not go back to any DT. Will pay more to order Michelins from a local shop across the highway and have them install, rotate and balance.

Agree with LAZY PEOPLE!!! I took my car in there to get my rotation and balance done because my wheel was shaking some (I had bought the tires from there so its free). I know a thing or 2 about car repair, I just dont have a balancing machine so I had to take it to them. I watched them rotate all my tires then pull it out of the shop and told me I was good to go. I stated that they didnt even balance the tires, and the mechanic says to me, "I can just look at them and tell they dont need to be balanced." There is no way to determine this by eye, which is why they have the machine. So long story short, they try to get away with as little work as possible and try to fool the customer into their game. STAY AWAY!!!

I needed 4 new tires for my 2007 Ford Escape because my inspection was due and my tires were bald. Cliff was great helping us get the best tires possible within our price range and explaining the trade offs between different priced tires. He spoke to me like a friend, never rushed or too salesy. I had to wait until the weekend to get the new tires put on and they only had 3 of the tires we had decided on in stock when i got there so he gave us the next tire up for the same price we had discussed previously! Saved me an extra $120 and got the new tires installed & balanced in less than an hour. So glad I chose this shop for my new tires! Ask for Cliff, he is the best!

I had four new tires installed on my pickup, which ran to around $1,000. The install went well and the staff were courteous. I went back a month later to have two small tractor tires (24 inch) mounted on the tractor wheels. Id already removed the wheels and had them in the pickup, so it should have been real easy. They tell me they cant do it, they tried once and it took an hour to mount, so they figure they are too hard to do. Seriously? This is a tire store, and they cant mount tires to two small tractor wheels. In contrast, the small mom-and-pop tire shop I normally go to can mount them with hand tools. Ill be taking them there in future.

Had a tire with a screw in it. Would have to put air in it every other day. Dropped the truck off and picked it up later that day. Drove 3 blocks down the road and parked it. Came back a couple hrs later and it was flat. Not to mention all the greese on my tis and rim, looked like whoever worked on it just got done changing an engine. Called discount and phone just rings and rings. Took it to another tire shop and they couldnt find any other holes in it. They replaced the patch that discount did and no problems so far. Guess you cant complain about free flat repairs but at least do your job, not make it worse

After feeling slight vibration on 09 Acura RL I paid $60.00 to get aget my tires balanced. My car, with less than 10k miles on odometer vibrated pretty badly soon as I left the shop even on low speed. I went back 2 days afterwords and told them that my car was vibrating worse than when I first brought it in and they told me that it was my car not the balance itself. Thinking something was wrong with my car, I took it to a Acura dealership in Plano and they checked the balance again and said all tires werent balanced. I wasted $60.00 and time for nothing. Thanks for nothing guys..

I had a 3 PM appointment. I came in and they did not have my size tires in stock. They told me they would order them and I made an appointment for 3 PM the next day. They got the tires in but even though I had made an appointment two days in a row, I had to wait 45 minutes before they even started on my car. They did not asked me if I wanted additional warrantees on the tires but just listed on my invoice. I asked them to remove that warranty charge.

I had an appointment for 8:15am to buy a set of new tires. I was there at 8:00 when they opened and I drove away at 8:30 with my new tires. Everything went extremely smooth. They were more than willing to match the online price I found. ( I did not have the right size on the print out but they said I could come back and they would price match) So far I am impressed, I hope they are just as impressive when I go in for balances and rotations!
