So discussed with The Tasting room. Finger nail in mash potatoes, My wife and I went on 2/14/15. We arrived 5:30 and did not get our entree till 8 pm. half way through my meal I found a finger nail in the mash potatoes. I called the waitress over and showed her, she grabbed it up with my plate and ran to the back. She came back later and said the hostess would be over to see us. 20 minutes later with me with no meal, the hostess came back with my plate and said. Oh, that was a crab shell. Do you want your food back? (I know the deference between a painted red finger nail and a crab shell.) I was just amazed that she said that, I said NO. She walks away and then she comes back with the bill and said proudly. I took 10% off your bill, we hope you come back. OWNERS…. GET YOUR ACT TOGEATHER. That was the worst steak I ever had, If you are thinking of going to the Tasting room in Kingwood Texas. DON’T !!! YOU WILL BE SORRY. Way over priced food that is terrible. Tasting room gets a BIG FAT negative star from me.

It is a great location by the lake and I really want to love it. But it only have a few restaurants and a frozen yogurt place, can we have more hangout places like coffee shops?

Great, quaint area. I agree with the other reviews. Needs a unique coffee shop, NOT Starbucks. Something with some local musicians a few evenings and weekends.

It is a nice location near lake Houston. It has many restaurants and dessert place. All it is missing is a coffee shop here.
