You can ocasionally find a good deal here. The problem is that whoever prices items doesnt have a clue what they are doing. Most items are way overpriced! It might not be so bad if you could negotiate a reasonable price. They wont even let you do that. whoever is in charge has lost sight of the fact that many people that shop here are in the lower income bracket and cant afford to pay retail or the crazy prices often asked. This business is supposed to be about saving underpriveledged customers money and not how much you can gouge out of your patrons on overpriced outdated crap. I understand it is a charity and donations go to building poor people homes. However, they really need to find a better balance. It should be a clue when you have the same stuff sitting in your store for well over a year. I have been to many other re-stores around houston and around the country. Thankfully, they arent all idiots. Wake up dingleberries!!!!!

I used to shop here more frequently and just havent been in the last 6 months. Very saddened to see the high prices for old broken crap. Most of the stuff is donated,if not all of it, and to turn around and sell it for new prices or slightly a few dollars less, Its ridiculous. They need to fire whoevers pricing this stuff, and get someone who understands how to move product. This is outdated and used stuff not an antique gallery. Outdoor floodlight head new with motion detector sensor $21 at Home Depot. One here with no motion sensor exposed wires and plaster on it $19. Walmart Coffee maker with no pot $25 Plain empty beer bottles a dollar each. Get the old pricer back and toss out the old rubbish. Oh well guess its back to Craigslist.

I think Habitat for Humanity ReStore is an amazing idea. When they first opened, the person in charge had the right mindset! Now they are trying to price things where no one will buy them. What good is that? Keep product moving and keep folks coming in and telling their friends to come in. It is a good cause, just the new pricing manager forgot what they are trying to accomplish. It is not a resale store, it is a charity store. Price things to move. Make people come back because it is a good place to find bargains. I think they should hire me ;-)

Criminally over-priced and unwilling to negotiate with customers. Old and broken items that they want to sell for 90% the price of a new item or sometimes higher. A rusty and broken patio set at the Jones Road store was priced at $199. when I asked them how they justified this when the repair cost would hover around $200, I was told that if I added my name to a wish list, I could maybe get that piece of junk cheaper. Guess what, I was able to find the exact same set, brand new, for $150. Thats Restore for you.

Not really impressed. IF they have a LOT of something not many folks would want, like 2000 plastic office trashcans, they are priced realistically. I agree with the other comment...the electrical is waaay overpriced for very questionable crap. Just go buy new at HD. I think these guys and Goodwill are in cahoots as they get things free and want almost retail prices. Alst they give NO discounts for volume. 1 or 10,000 pieces of limited style stone is all the same price.

Its a mixed bag. Ive gotten white subway tiles for less than ten cents a tile, and a vintage brass and marble faucet for $75. But the lighting fixtures are generally WAY overpriced. A lot of the flooring too. The vintage stuff is usually grossly overpriced and youre better off shopping on Ebay or Craigslist where there is a better selection to boot. You can get good deals on more generic styles of new doorknobs and cupboard knobs. Its a bit of a treasure hunt.

I have been here twice, and both times I was surprised at the difference in selection and pricing from the awesome Restore in South Houston. I understand secondhand inventory is a regional thing, but the way most items are priced at this outlet, a person is better off buying retail. I hope the 610 Restore doesnt follow suit, or I will be shopping and donating elsewhere. Please dont ruin a great mutually beneficial arrangement by becoming greedy!

Prices are much higher than you would expect, so the great deals are few. There is usually a lot a lot of junk everywhere. Might make sense if you are trying to remodel and keep with a dated or traditional look. Sales are FINAL so if there is a problem with fit or missing parts, you are on your own. Other locations accept their own returns, so if you have a choice, shop at the other locations.

I couldnt disagree about most items been overpriced at this store. Most of their stuff have been sitting there for months, shouldnt that be a sign something is wrong? Whoever is pricing these stuff needs training or else they will not have much business. Ive visited others around the Houston area and they even run 50% off on the weekends and their overall prices are very reasonable.

I had heard about this place but passed by numerous times and didnt see it. I finally had the chance to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. A large variety of slightly used and overstocked items for sale at big discounts. If youre looking to do some home improvement on a budget, check this place out first.

You walk in to a mess and the rest of the store is a mess. Nothing is well organized for people to actually look thru. The s loop restore is better organized yes its small but they show it can be done. looking for vanity top and the ones I wanted were behind bigger ones and couldnt get an accurate measurement.

The outside area has been closed for a LONG time. Not sure about prices but generally high. Doors, window shades and cabinets are a deal. Be sure to bring a truck for you cannot pay for something and then pick it up later. You must take it immediately. Check prices before you buy and bargain with the manager.

I have been in this place several times with the hope to find something affordable. However, I always end up getting a new. Their prices is completely out of the reality. Sometimes you can see things priced higher than a new at big stores.

Visit often, a great place for recycled building materials, flooring, doors, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, etc. Inventory changes daily, weekly. Plus proceeds go to a great cause.

Nice place to visit while looking for items for projects. You can pick up things cheap, and there is a large selection to choose from. Isles are kept passable. Staff is very friendly.

I was told that this store buys new items to sell? I dont think so. They then use the highest price they find online for suggested retail price. This needs to be investigated.

You can find stuff cheaper at the Home Depot, I see faucets, tile, lamps... Sitting here for months and months. Every once in a long while you can find a good item.

They have everything you could think of, i always find exactly what i needed, as well as things i didnt know i needed or existed till i found them here. Great place.
