I went here after someone recommending it as being clean and having great artists. I wanted a simple but custom piece and happened to meet with Red when I arrived. Many artists, along with Red, told me that I would have to make my piece bigger so the quality of the work would last over the years. However, none of the many artists at different shops I talked to took the time to work with me and draw me up ideas before I had even committed to getting it done like Red did. Long story short, after drawing up a beautiful piece I got it done that day with Red. Not only was Red very sweet and professional, but my tattoo came out gorgeous! I was very picky as to the details as this is permanent but Red never got annoyed or made a comment about it. I can tell Red cares more about building a loyal clientele and making sure they are satisfied than trying to fill his pocket. I get complements all the time and have already referred my brother in law and sister to him, which both had great experiences with him too! The place is also very clean and nice looking unlike the majority of places in Houston. I will definitely go back to Red and no one else for anymore work I get.

After researching online I came across the Black Pearl Tattoo Parlor and decided to give them a try. Black Pearl Tattoo Parlor is a very clean shop and very friendly people! Timothy was the only artist there who had type of style of Sailor Jerry and Ed Hardy, that i was looking for! After deciding on the tattoo i wanted. Timothy was very professional and was willing to work with me to make sure the tattoo came out exactly the way I wanted. Timothy was also very easy going, Just about anything i said to him made him laugh, as well as me! Also he made sure that i was comfortable (seeing that this was my first tattoo). After the tattoo was done he had made sure everything was to me liking. Also make sure that I knew how to take care of my tattoo. The tattoo came out awesome! Ill be sure to tell my friends! I definitely will come back for another tattoo! Thanks Guys!!

Got a piercing and it was executed perfectly. I did not bleed and havent yet...thinking I can be part vampire :-D The guy that did it wasnt overly friendly but average for a artist (cant be too friendly or youll lose your cool B-)) My husband tagged alone and I was thrilled that they let him come back and watch (respectively behind the counter of course) considering how I freak out every time I see a needle. Artist did a awesome job working with my anxiety. I was impressed that they sit you down and explain how to keep up your piercing(s). Very professional. Their facility was neat, clean and comfortable. All in all this would be a great place to go if you dont want the negative traffic, if you know what I mean.

I loved this place since I walked in, great service, super amiable, and clean as well. I thought itd be pretty expensive since the place looked so nice, but it was actually pretty good pricing. It was my first tattoo, and I was nervous, I got the honor to be with Red, he knew what to tell me to calm me down, the whole time while I was getting my tattoo, he had stories to tell, jokes, he took his time, he said if I needed anything, I could swing by. Red was so nice and so hilarious. I didnt feel any pain till the last minute, it was a great experience for my first time. I recommend this place, and to choose Red as your tattoo aritist since my tattoo came out so beautiful. I love it so much. Thank you.

My fiancée and I went last night to get tattoos weve been wanting, after researching online we came across the Black Pearl Tattoo Parlor and decided to give them a try. Mike was the only artist there after talking to him we decided to get the tattoos done last night. Mike was very professional and was willing to work with us to make sure our tattoos were exactly what we had wanted. Mike was also very easy going on making sure I was okay by making jokes and such to keep me feeling comfortable (since this was my first tattoo). After both tattoos were done he had made sure everything was to our liking. Both of the tattoos were outstanding and we will for sure be going back soon.

GO TO JIMBO! Hes done a miracle out of a f#$ked up tattoo into something great! Pictures are proof! When Jimbo told me he was going to make it look like the original wasnt there, he was not bullshitting! Very happy and satisfied customer! The other staff are also very friendly, and Ive talked to other customers while there, and they are all happy with their tattoos and their artists, NO COMPLAINTS! If your looking for friendly staff, a clean work environment and clean equipment, and great ink, GO HERE! I promise you, you will not be displeased, the satisfaction is literally guaranteed in this place, and I plan on going here from now on to get ALL my ink!

Great place!!! They have great artist, and a great piercer. I get my tattoos from Red but all of their tatto artist are great. They always use new needles for every customer. The inks they use are very vivid. The piercing area is almost like a doctors office. You go in and theres a table to sit on or lay on. She does the piercing with a face mask and gloves. Everything is very clean and taken care of. Also everyone is very friendly and helpful. This is the only place I go to to get tattoos and piercings. Also if my friends or family want a tattoo or piercing I always send them to Black Pearl.

Walking in I didnt know if I was in an art gallery or a doctors office. This is definitely not one of those hole in the wall tattoo shops which are all over Houston. I was greeted as soon as I stepped through the door. The staff are very friendly. The shop owner showed me around the facility, and introduced me to the artists. This is customer service at its finest! J drew a custom piece based on our discussion, and now I have one of the most detailed and colorful tattoos Ive ever seen. If you are looking for something special THIS is the place to go!

On their website the time on Sunday says 12:00-10:00 but apparently they changed it and arent open at all on Sundays. But since I didnt know that I went with my mom anyways to get my industrial done. Nobody was there except one guy. And when he told me they werent open I was disappointed. But he told me that he would do it anyway. It was extremely nice. It was clean and he was very nice. It was my first piercing so I was very scared, but it was a very good first experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is absolutely the best shop Ive ever been to! Its incredibly clean and professional. Red did a fantastic job of perfectly copying the handwriting I wanted on both the tattoos I got done. He was a lot of fun to work with and answered any and all questions I had (tattoo-related or not) Everything was done quickly and my tattoos look perfect. Theyre healing more smoothly than any other tattoo Ive gotten. Will DEFINITELY be going back to Red from now on! Absolutely found my new home parlor/artist!
