I generally really like this Walmart. I live in Leon Valley so it would seem more convenient to just go to the Walmart there, but the long lines, weird people, lack of item selection, messiness, rudeness of employees and customers alike- it just is more pleasant going to this Walmart. My only problem was with a loss preventions guy who is a regular there. My family and I call him Shaggy, simply because he looks like a pot head who still lives with his mother. We had a minor situation one night when we were there grocery shopping where he followed us around- and we knew he was there- the ENTIRE trip. Right behind us the entire time. If I hadnt of known that Walmarts LPs were known for that creepiness, I wouldve just thought he was a stalker. Anyways, he ambushed us on the way out and tried to accuse us of stealing a small stuffed animal. He took my husband to the back of the store and tried to force him to say that we indeed stole the toy. He wouldnt even let my husband talk. The night manager offered to question my husband but the LP rudely said "no, you can just leave". The manager, who admitted to us that he had no clue what was even going on in the first place, left. We were so confused. We returned to the store a couple of weeks later and Shaggy is still there! He makes a point of following us and other young couples . He tries to even look into my purse when he jets by us directly. We just wave and smile at him. Watch out for Shaggy, everyone!

This is the cleanest, most well stocked, organized and pleasant Wal-Mart store Ive ever been in. There are 2 areas where I see opportunity for improvement at the Helotes, TX store. 1) My experience while shopping in this store is that very rarely does an employee ask me if I need assistance locating an item. 2) Ive used the online order and in store pick up on four separate occasions. Each time theres been a fundamental problem with the in store pick up desk being sufficiently staffed with trained and knowledgeable employees. Additionally Ive never gone to the desk and had my items ready and waiting for me despite using the in app notification that notifies the staff tending the in-store pickup desk that I am in the store and will be picking up my item soon. If these two potential areas of improvement are properly addressed, I would conclude that the management staff is some of the best around and take their responsibilities seriously. Overall, I think this is by far the most comfortable Wal-Mart Ive ever shopped in. Im confident that in the very near future the in-store pickup desk situation will be resolved as they gain more experience and learn better efficiencies. Thank You Walmart - Helotes, TX. Keep up the good work.

Pharmacy is a nightmare. Been using them for 4 years. Over last 18 months their customer service has become terrible. Employees are lazy, lackadaisical, and just lie to your face. They have an excuse for everything. Call in your refills 48 hours in advance. They will same what time your refills are ready (ie- 5pm), you call before driving up because they lie and say they are ready. Drive up at 7pm and scripts not ready. The scripts only keep people alive. This morning took script in at 930am. Was told be ready in 1 to 1.5 hours. Drive over to HEB and shop (not giving Walmart money for lying employees) come back 2 hours later and script still not ready. Told be ready in 30 minutes waited 2 more hours being given same excuse (slammed, no they werent),(short handed) they have be giving. Ask for my script back and and a print out with other scripts refills. Drive down to Walgreens. Script ready in 15 minutes. Walmart wonders why they are losing customers. Dont lie to their faces and get cranky when called on it. Now I have no reason to step foot in another Walmart.

Tried to have a battery replaced at the auto center, they told me core charge still applies even when turning in old battery, wouldnt budge on it even though their own sign says "turn in your old battery to avoid a core charge." Then they couldnt find where the battery is in my 2007 Acadia, I had to Google it and show them the access panel behind the PS front seat. Then they refused to replace the battery because apparently opening the access panel equates to "tearing apart the vehicle" and they didnt want to do it. Went to autozone instead and paid $50 more but they had it swapped out in 15 minutes and didnt BS me about the core charge

Its Walmart! Dont expect any employee to help you with anything and be ready to wait in a self checkout line that never ends. They usually have one lane open with a live cashier and 20 checkouts closed. If you go real early in the morning you can actually walk around the entire store and not see a single employee. Their produce area is always very dimly lit (probably to hide the sub par produce) and if you ever order something online to pick up in store, be ready to wait a while to get someone to help you pick up the item. On the plus side, this is one of the cleanest Walmarts I have ever been to, inside and out.

This morning I had a horrific experience at the Boerne Walmart. A friend of mine suggested the Walmart Helotes location so I drove there to check it out. WOW!!! What a difference!! Positive, friendly, caring employees. They made me feel like I was the most important customer in the store. I noticed the employees were very helpful & caring to other customers too. Truly a superior store and worth the drive. Clean, shelves stocked, clean bathroom, did I mention: POSITIVE, FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!I will make this my "go to" Walmart.

My girlfriend bought tires from Walmart. The valve stem started leaking. The automotive department employees were not allowed to fix it. They did however put our spare tire on for us while we were running late for dinner with family. The employees in the service center were extremely nice and helpful. I didnt expect that from walmart but I was proven wrong. Whoever is doing the hiring at the automotive is doing an exceptional job. I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful the mechanics were.

Do you really need to be wasting daylight reading a review of Walmart? The expected crummy service that pays dividends in savings of a few cents. I found a fabric I liked, and had to declare this location as my permanent residence while I waited for help. In despair, I gave up after about a month, which Ill never get back. But at least there was the POSSIBILITY of saving like 5 cents on the yard. Extra star for that whisper of hope that withered so sadly.

Store is usually in order and the staff is helpful. Many times they are out of certain things and be sure to pay attention to the price scanner, as its not always the same as whats marked on the shelf. Also check your eggs. I usually go through several cartons before I find one with all the eggs intact. Not my first choice for groceries, but it works when Im in a hurry. Great for other items, such as house hold goods , etc.
