Drove here & bought chicken tenders for lunch (the kind that are ready to eat) & they were huge! :) However, when I asked for dipping sauces, they were out of honey mustard, so the clerk offered me honey chipotle. I was a little disappointed but thought "whatever" & asked her for the honey chipotle & ranch. I waited for a while for the clerk to get the sauces because she had to walk to the back to get them, & then only brought 1 ranch & 1 honey chipotle. Im thinking A) why dont you keep the sauces at the front where its easier for everybody, clerks & customers alike & B) youre selling enormous chicken tenders, you think 2 dipping sauces are enough? Is the clerk being stingy because im unknowingly ransacking her secret stash? Have they been instructed by management to be stingy in order to save on cost? I didnt ask for more because at this point there was a line behind me & the clerk obviously was done helping me & had moved on to the next customer... I go to checkout & noticed they had a soda fountain machine advertising 32oz drinks for 99 cents. What a deal! So i ask the clerk to charge me for one, & i go serve myself. Well, none of the lids fit the 32oz cup, & they only had one stack of these cups out there, no more sizes. I ask the clerk if she can help me find lids & all she said was "were out of the regular cups so were using these cups & the lids we have dont fit them. Sorry!". Ok. This is not helpful at all. So i had to drive my happy self back to work holding this big lid-less cup full of cold soda while hoping not to hit a bump on the road. I guess this store has an ugly pattern of running out of items & doing a half-assed job of replacing them. Im never going back.

Went to get my baby milk and every time I go they say they dont carry the milk. Every time I have to get loud because the staff is lazy. So today I went in and was told again there was no milk. Asked for manager and I was told I would have to wait until the key holder got her line down before she could go check. What pissed me off was to go to the back and there is cases on top of cases if his milk. Remind you I bought 9 cans. She told me the reason its not out is because there has been complaining about the milk being bad. Told me to check for mold before I feed my baby. First of all why would you sell it if its been pulled off shelf. And she had a nasty att. Would be spending my money some where else. Been on phone asking for the manager but still holding........I called at 6:02........its 6:24

KROGER, The best Grocery Store in the Galveston Area. They just finished renovating this store inside and and out few months ago. Is very clean and spacious. Plenty of Food, Drinks, Grocery and Produce choices along with other miscellaneous items. And prices are reasonable, and the food and produce is very very fresh. They added a new Cheese section. Great choices. They also have a Sushi Bar. Fresh Sushi made every day. They bring fresh produce every day. And the Customer service is excellent and they work very hard to keep customers very very Happy. I have been a happy customer for the last 20 years. Love the store. I would not go anywhere else, even if they had lower prices. By the way, dont forget to visit their Starbucks Coffee. Excellent cafe. God bless this store and its employees.

Kroger is the lowest priced grocer in Galveston (especially if you have a free rewards card, not to mention fuel rewards). I love thier app, loading coupons through the app is easy and brilliant. You can even support your charity of choice by signing up through the Community Rewards program and then simply shopping as you will (I support Galveston Urban Ministries). The employees at the Galveston Kroger have always been friendly and helpful. The store is continually adding more selection and upgrading. Recently there is a new gourmet cheese area and the self-check computer system has new more user friendly software. The produce if fresh, the butchers are eager to please, and the store is always clean. I couldnt be happier with what this relatively small Kroger store continues to offer.

All the employees are very friendly..helpful..cheerful...& professional. My medical prescriptions were the lowest prices Ive ever found! The store is neat & clean..no cluttered isles...fruit is fresh & all fruits & veggies were neatly displayed. The selections of cheeses are mind boggling! And the variety of fresh baked bread was amazing! I love that the cheeses each had a card describing what it was made of & described the flavor & I love that! The one thing I hate is the parking lot! Big mistake to build it slanting! Im disabled & all handicap spaces were taken...I had a very hard time trying to hold the basket from rolling away while trying to get my bags in so forget beiing able to use my cane!! I hate that parking lot!! Other than that I do love the store!!

This is my neighborhood grocery store and it really is second to none on quality, customer service, and friendliness. Its the only store Ive ever shopped at where the staff goes out of there way to stop what theyre doing just to say hello or to help you find what you need. I prefer to buy my produce here because its the freshest with the best prices and their organic and vegetarian section is always full of variety which is important to me. Just because Im a vegetarian doesnt mean I want to be inconvenienced by having to buy my food online. They really have everything I need.

Police officer/security officer racially profiled my friend as we were walking out the store after buying our items. We were in a group of four and he singled out "the black guy." He followed us outside, and verbally harassed us even after we complied with his instructions and had nothing but our store bought items on us. Although Kroger is a good company, this reflects badly on them, especially when the police officer is supposed to provide security not the exact opposite. Calling corporate and hope this situation gets handled soon.

Where were from these are known by a different name but still owned by the same company. For this reason we were able to find many of the things we prefer to use. It was also nice to see that they maintain the standard of fresh, great tasting, and good looking produce. The only complaints we have is the store feels cramped in several areas and the checkout process is typically slow. Two other nice features to the store are plastic carts that reduce noise tremendously and that the store looks and feels clean.

This is OUR store when we come to Galveston. The prices and selections are great. The service is consistently excellent. Their meat/seafood market is clean and well stocked at all hours of the day. Our favorite thing about this store......steamed shrimp. With or without seasoning, they will steam your shrimp for free and they will be perfectly cooked. This store is just too notch on many levels!
