I was in there a week ago. The first time was about a year ago. The artist I had last time has left the shop..I cant say I blame the guy. Although a year ago I experienced a rude staff and no greeting at all The artist I had tattoo me whom I am leaving nameless was very sweet. Since he is gone now and I have no clue where his business card is I cant find him..I just went back to the same spot.. Anyway I was greeted by Jeremy. I recognize him from last time. He can be somewhat nice but all he really does (with a smile on his face) is say discrediting things about other artists in the shop he works at and he pressured me to go with his tattooing me. Well I looked through the portfolios..Let me be the one to tell you Jeremy is not the best at AE. He will tell you how so and so isnt qualified to do a certain style or whatever he was saying but in the end his portfolio was one of a few I found to be weak in representation..If he is that good, he should fix his portfolio. Ok, I just wanted to say that guy is not the nice guy he portrays to be and is clearly trying to take business from his piers. I noticed the shop was dead and a couple guys were there, drawing and hanging out..Not a one greeted me..Finally I got a hello from a bigger gentleman from the back. Ive heard great things about this place from others and I have yet to see this big amazing shop I hear about. I mean Ive been treated better in Deep Ellum.. I am simply looking for a professional, custom shop..All Ive gotten at AE is huge egos, crappy attitudes, and too much ghetto hip hop.. Good artists are all over Dallas..But the artists at AE are a bunch of egotistical bad mouthing children. There was an older gentleman there who seemed out of place.. He was nice..I cant remember his name but even he couldnt help me..I say screw it and go visit another of the billion of shops in DFW. This place and the people who work there clearly dont need the business nor care about your time or money..Well maybe they do care about your MONEY. I will not recommend this place to anyone who wants a pleasant tattooing experience.. To top it off the music was way too loud and god awful cursing hood rap!! I have never left a review before..I would otherwise never waste my time..But I am appalled by my experience.

Before getting my piercings Micah took his time and explained the difference between the different metals he uses and provided me a choice, along with his recommendation, at no extra cost. I completed paperwork which asked the appropriate medical questions and Micah put me at ease explaining the process. When I got back to the room is was very obvious he had just wiped down and cleaned the chair the other customer had used and he opened all new packaging and sterilized it, again, while I was there. Micah did an excellent job of putting me at ease and the entire thing was over in 5 secs. Micah took great care explaining to me how to clean my piercing and provided me with some Q-tips for the very little bleeding I was experiencing. The piercing was $40, which I understand to be more expensive than most, but I personally feel you cant pay too much for service and quality like I received. I had the option to pay cash or credit so I opted to pay cash. Ive had minimal soreness and no swelling or redness. An excellent experience overall! Tip - If you can, take some pain meds 30 mins before your piercing. It will help a great deal with the immediate discomfort youll experience afterwards.

I got a monroe done here about 4 weeks back and they butchered me!!! First of all the guy who did it (who never even told me his name, big guy with guaged out ears) told me he would be using a 16 guage, and for some reason used a 14! He placed the mark really high above my lip, almost even with my nose. He told me it was because it isnt supposed to rest on ur teeth. I trusted him, and even though i have seen thousands of girls with them a lot lower (hello!!! angel bites) he moved it down a lil bit, but still way to high,. He pierced it so crooked that it was pointing up, which he told me they all do. LIAR!!! he just jacked it up! I went to a place in fort worth and was having a girl switch my jewelry out and she informed me just how jacked up it was., She re-did it on the other side and it is awesome. The other was huge bulky and it hurt like hell. NEVER EVER LET THIS GUY STICK YOU!!!!

I got my hair done with Artistic Encounter Greenville shop at Pure Mess Salon it was ridiculously awesome. I am getting my first large tatt here at Rosemeade and I have been in there many times with my wife she has gotten 3 tatts - forearm sleeve started, back wings started, and my name on her stomach- and her nose pierced here. Stephanie Gunter at Pure Mess also does her hair. Amazing beautiful hair. As far as the ink and piercings go I could not be happier. They have a very clean, cool shop, and all of the artists know what they are doing. Billyjack is doing my large piece and I have already visited a couple times for consultations. The consultations are free and they dont mind helping you find EXACTLY what you want and appreciate customers to the max. I have never seen such good care for customers at a tattoo shop. I wont go anywhere else.

I had a great overall experience with Artistic Encounter Tattoos! I was a walk in and they took me back relatively fast, they were also able to work with me to come to a very reasonable price. I have a tattoo thats been touched up three times and every time I was unsatisfied. Each artist that worked on it did a very average job and used zero creativity. Jeremih Gandy (AE Tattoos) was my artist and not only did he do a great job fixing where the previous artists went wrong, but he also involved creativity that I wish I had all along. Very clean shop, great customer service, and awesome artists. Artistic Encounter Tattoos is definitely somewhere I would revisit for future work and recommend to my friends and family.

Yall, I didnt even go and Im giving it 1 star. Honestly, I shouldnt even give them that! I needed information about a Daith piercing. Called, this is how the conversation went: Receptionist: AE Tattoo what do you need Me: (Already thrown off by her rude introduction. Good evening, how are you doing tonight? Im sorry I didnt catch your name. R: Thats because I didnt give it to you, now what can I help you with. Me: Well, how are you doing tonight? R: Look, what do you need? (Yelling at me at this point) Me: Made props to losing a potential client in under 30 seconds. And I hung up the phone. I will never bring my money to an establishment that cant even have proper phone manners. POS place if you ask me.

Last year, our daughters got cartilage piercings. It was difficult to get the lady to give us information as to how to care for the ears and piercings. We got her to write it down and she wrote down two words; that was it. She also should have advised to not get two piercings in one ear (maybe too close together) as it was too much and we had to remove the earring in one ear due to trauma and repeated infections. She also didnt even notice that my daughters ear was pouring out blood; that was probably the reason she had so many infections. You also pay up-front and they expect you to tip at that point. How can one tip before the work is done? Some friendliness would also help.
