I dont usually write bad reviews about businesses but I felt this one was necessary. I would not recommend using 1-800 Flowers to anyone ever, over the years they have screwed up every single order that my family has placed with them and the most recent being from Mothers Day weekend. My brother is overseas serving in the military and since he could not be here with his mom he decided to send her what SHOULD HAVE been a beautiful flower arrangement. My mom recieved the order on Saturday and the flowers were half dead, droopy and looked horrible....my dad called the flower shop that 1-800 sent the order to and they lied saying those were the flowers my brother specifically asked for, that they were one of the most expensive arrangements, and that they are supposed to be droopy.....Im pretty sure expensive flowers are not supposed to be droopy at all! So after my brother confirmed that the flowers were not supposed to look the way that they did my dad called 1-800 Flowers to make the situation right and they at first refused to give my brother a full refund. My dad had to be on the phone with them for an HOUR explaining to them that my brother is overseas in the military and wanted his mom to have nice flowers for Mothers Day but did not recieve what he ordered but instead got a poor excuse for flowres, so they should follow the clearly stated customer service quality guarantee on their website and give him ALL of his money back. They ended up giving my brother all of his money back but did not send a fresh/new batch of flowers out, if you state on your website that you are more than happy to make the cusomer happy then you do EVERYTHING possible to make the situation right which 1-800 Flowers did not. I know my family will never use them again after this and I dont recommend them to anyone else.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place should be called 1-800 NO FLOWERS. I placed an order online through the website for delivery to a friend on Christmas Eve. Her birthday is on Christmas Eve so it was very important that she get them on that day. I got an email saying that my flowers had been delivered to the recipient on 12/24. I never got a thank you or anything from my friend so I texted her to see if she got them. She said no. I called the number listed on my confirmation email and was told, very rudely, that since I ordered online I needed to call another number. I called the number I was given and the very nice people at that number told me that they couldnt help me because they did not have record of my order. Eventually I was forced to call the very rude guy back at the original number. The florist in Dallas stated that they were delivered the flowers to the leasing office of the apartment complex because it was a gated community. He also told me that since I didnt give them a gate code there was nothing he could do. I insisted that it was not my responsibility to insure that he delivered the flowers that I paid for to the correct person, that was his job. I also insisted that I get my money back because my gift was never delivered. After speaking with my friend and her leasing office it turns out that the community is not gated at all and they never received a delivery at all. They have had the same problem with this same florist with other residents as well. If you need to send flowers in Dallas, I would recommend that you use some other florist because this place clearly doesnt care about their customers.

Im only giving it one star because it gives me no option of zero stars. Every year I order flowers for my mother through another company. This was my first time ordering through FTD for flowers because I saw some decent prices and they used this company. The delivery was for Oct 1, 2016. My mother wasnt home at time of delivery(was out of town without my knowledge) and instead of taking the flowers back to the shop, the delivery driver just left them, in an apartment complex in Tx heat! So of course when I finally got a hold of a family member to go by and grab them(I live in Alaska) they had been taken. The delivery driver called my mother after he had left to inform of the drop off and when asked to pick up and re-deliver he told her he couldnt do that. I contacted FTD and another delivery went out on Monday but guess what, it was no where near what I ordered online. It looked as if they were upset that they had to re-deliver and just threw anything together! The arrangement was supposed to be in a tall clear vase, with tightly arranged flowers and what she received were thrown together, loosely, in this tacky pink colored fish bowl type base! It was a mess of a delivery. FTD was only willing to credit me 20% of the total cost of what I paid-what a joke! The only reason I found out the name of this company was because we still had the number of the delivery driver so I called him and he gave me the name of the florist used! Highly disappointed! If I could attach a picture of this tacky mess, I would! Just a waste of my money. Get it together!

I used 1-800-Flowers many times over the past few years, especially when I was engaged to my wife who happened to live in the States while I was employed overseas at the time. Many times I was satisfied with their delivery timing, and although my wife (fiancé at the time) would get ecstatic each time she would get a bouquet of flowers, I couldnt help but notice how consistently droopy and somewhat lifeless their flowers are. She didnt care much because it was the thought that counts, but I would get bothered because of how much I would spend on one bouquet that just isnt perfect. They delivered one bouquet late one day even though I paid for same-day delivery, and I called customer service and they refunded me the same-day delivery fee. However, my two-star rating is simply because I had so many reward points with them that always expired before I realized, and it would upset me that I would get bombarded with marketing e-mails for upcoming holidays, or sales on certain flowers, yet I would never get a reminder to use my reward points that always seemed to expire right before I would want to send some flowers. Maybe I am just ranting off, but I am very disappointed with this organization, and the rest of the [majority] bad reviews seem to be consistent with my thoughts.

I placed an order two weeks in advance to have a flower arrangement from my sisters and I for our mom on mothers day. I was contacted around noon on the day of delivery with a hard to understand and short voicemail of how they cannot fulfill my order due to increased volumes. After spending 35 minutes on hold I speak to a representative who tells me that they can make the delivery next week with fresh flowers. Mothers day being on Sunday I politely tell them no and ask for a refund and I will try to make other arrangements for my mother. The representative then proceeds to tell me that she can order it next week at 15% discount and continues to try to push me to submit my order. After she then asks me for a 50% discount I get angry and only then does she finally agree to issue me a refund. They could have made it so much better by giving me a little more time so that I could made other arrangements instead of the day of. Much more, the representative should have been apologetic and not tried to push me into a later and discounted item. How this company can continue to operate at this level of competency is beyond me. I should have looked at the overwhelming reviews before hand. Now I know.
