I dont know why theres so many hateful comments about this place, if your from Corpus Christi, I am, you will understand this place. If not then yes your probably not realizing the bargain youre getting. I think its hilarious that people can be so judgemental over fruit lmfao its fruit and vegetables guys calm down. The comment made about white people missing out was hilarious because when I went today there was an off duty firefighter leaving and he was white. Idk, much love fruit king I know your just misunderstood.

A small family operated store stocked with fruit and vegetables with low prices awaits the hungry shopper. I have shopped this location for nearly 30 yrs. A typical day shopping here I may spend $15. If I compare the prices I paid to a chain grocery store prices I saved $20. You definitely get more for your dollar. If your a "picky shopper", everything you eat has to be perfect without blemish then this is not your place to shop. Organic produce when available at very reasonable prices.

Fruit King is the best deal in all of Corpus. Yes, their fruit and veggies are obviously at the end of the line, but what better way to make the most of the environment than selling at this stage for low low prices. I can always find great deals on grapefruits and oranges, avocados...they have great sweet potatoes, spinach and often the cheapest blueberries in town! Dont miss it if you like bargains...and they are very friendly too!

3lbs of bananas for a dollar, 1lb of SPINACH FOR 79 CENTS, WHITE PEOPLE ARE MISSING OUT, SCREW WALMART AND HEB, RUDE EMPLOYEES? Rude!!! The employees, the management, even the owners are rude. The produce is just as bad as the personalities of the people who own this wreck of a business. At least the people over at HEB are friendly, I think Ill spend the extra 10c for the service.

You can get great deals at fruit King. They always have new things for sale so you kind of just have to go see whats good for the day rather than planning to find specific items. They also have all the Ralphs spices for sale there!

Terrible service and the produce is always in bad shape. I understand trying to sell at the end of the line, but this is just a sad excuse for a fruit stand. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
