Worst experience I have ever had at an auto parts store. The "lamp out" light in my truck came on, so I pulled into the Advance Auto Parts store on 620 near Anderson Mill in Austin. I walked in, stood in line, and then a counter person named "Bee" asked if she could help me. I started off by saying that I had a "lamp out" in my vehicle, but I wasnt sure which one. She responded by saying "what??" in a very condescending voice. I then explained that my "lamp out LIGHT" came on in my car and I would like to buy the light for it. She then responded, "I dont know what you are talking about (again in a very condescending voice) and asked if it was a light inside my vehicle, a brake light, etc." At this point, I had to ask her to please not speak to me in a condescending voice and that I all I wanted was to figure out which light needed to be replaced and buy it. Since then apologized (I later found out that it was her boss who was standing next to her) and followed me out to my vehicle. Once outside (and out of view of her boss), she then started to belittle me by rolling her eyes and again speaking in a hostile voice. I finally decided that it just wasnt worth continuing with her. I then went back in the store, found another associate. I told him that "my lamp out light came on and could he just take a sec to help me figure out which one." He IMMEDIATELY understood what I was talking about and in the span of two minutes, I had the bulb I needed and started walking out the store. I then asked to see the store manager so I could explain what happened outside the store. The store managers name is Kenny. He was of absolutely no help and I didnt even get an apology. He admitted that he couldnt hear what Bee said outside. I also got the distinct impression that he really couldnt care less. It has been six months or so since I had been in the store, so Id imagine that staff has changed. Ive been going to this store for as long as I can remember, but never again. With an employee like Bee and a manager who could care less, I understand why this is such an awful place to do business. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Needed a gas cap. There was a line so we asked someone on the floor how to get one. She said it had to be looked up and walked away. So we got in line and waited. One person at register 4 hiding in the back. We could hear them talking. person in front of us asked to get engine light tested she said no. She was only one @ register. He asked about the others in the back...she said they were doing something. He stormed out. Crap for customer service. Fire the managers hiding in the back.

Piss poor service unknowable and straight screws you over, they will say anything to get your and have continually failed getting us parts that have failed our ability to get cars out to our customers, we are a commercial account. : (

Store refused to match their own posted prices online--despite the fact that I could also purchase online and pick up in the very same store? Very odd and convinced me I was better off purchasing what I had in mind somewhere else.

Went in to get our engine light code. Extremely nice and helpful people. Even did some googling for us to see what could be up. Felt very comfortable in a place I usually dont. Definitely recommend.
