its like stepping back in time.... The day I visited it was really cold and damp and I could smell the smoke from a stove pipe so I knew it was going to be good. Just went in for a water but came out with a whole lot more. Back in the center of the store is the original potbellied stove and circled around it were most of the locals. If I had only had the time to write down some of their stories, I am sure they would have been great! Looking around the store you can see that there are still shoes,in original boxes high up on the mercantile shelf. Back before you had the "big box stores" to go to this was your place for everything. It was a real treat to meet and talk to the owner about all there is to know about the history of this great little side stop.

One of a kind country general store. Worth the side trip. Very friendly and accommodating. Be sure to pick up some of the owners handmade crafts!
